I'm new here and I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to gain weight without getting fatty. My boyfriend is big on fitness and bodybuilding but he can't really help me as a girl. I am 23, 5'7", 115lbs, 19% bf. I work out now several days a week. I really don't do cardio, because when I do I can literally see myself evaporate. I eat all the time. My boyfriend laughs at me because I can keep up with him if not out eat him sometimes and I just get skinnier. At the gym I weight train w/ my boyfriend and he pushes me to failer and I work out hard. Am I doing the right exercises for me, I don't know. We work out together so I do all the same exercises he does. I guess my diet is probably the most important thing first. I'm kinda clueless on calorie intake. I have no idea how many calories I should be taking in a day or how many I currently take in a day. I don't eat a lot of crap. I eat a lot of chicken, love chicken. I eat 4egg whites/1 whole egg w/ 2 pieces of bacon and hashbrowns pretty much every morning for breakfast. For lunch I usually eat out a lot. I try to go w/ chicken of some form. I don't do burgers, greasy food makes me nauseous. Dinner usually chicken or beef of some sort and then I'll eat another meal about an hour before bed. nothing too fatty or carby. Thanx for your help

i think the misconception when trying to gain weight is to eat lots. but i think its alot more effective if you just eat more often. you need to set up a plan that fits around your daily schedule and be prepared and stick to it. if your not gonna get up at 6 and eat then dont make it for 9. prepare you meals ahead of time and get to it. higher protein good carbs and healthy fats. some women are really sensitive to carbs so find that out. if you have to keep moderate carbs and higher protein to keep off then fat then do that.

From your stats the only weight you should be gaining is muscle only. Keep lifting with your boyfriend and know that it takes a long time.
