My IGF is 500mcg per ml...sooo

Hello I just bought my igf and i got 2 bottles of 2ml. 500 mcg per ml. My question is regarding the measurement of my slin pins. I hope this question isn't too stupid and I have researched it but everything I read is about 1000mcg per ml. So if I want to apply 40 mcg I need 4 units on my slin pin right? Everything I have read is 2 units for 40mcg if the solution is 1000mcg per ml so that makes my math correct I believe. Sorry if this is a stupid question I just want to get my dosage right.
