LOL, it's for filtering. the pump creates air pressure, the little red knob releases the pressure sucking the solution through the tube, through the yellow filter. the good thing about it is no more hand cramps from filtering, plus the filters are way cheaper as well. they use filter paper instead of the kind you screw on to a syringe. i just have to figure out a way to attach a needle to the tube that comes out if the filter...that is where brew hopefully can shed some light. i'm sure he will pop in here eventually...*hint hint*.LOL
