Need a few answers (igf)

Okay, will be using 29g 1/2 inch for IM injects.

Do most of you do the "air in the syringe trick" for your igf injects. seems like such a small amount of liquid, to not waste any, it's nearly a must.

Also, and my more important question, do you lube the needle with the igf or do you go in dry? Seems like such a small amount of liquid, lubing the needle could be a waste, plus it's not oil so how lubed can it get really?

answer 1 and 2 please for experienced users. I'm giving it a go this evening.

I always leave a little bit of air to get all the substance out wether it be IM or subQ. Lube? no.lol

personally, I need it lubed thoroughly. There is no way I can get it in dry. Wait, what are we talking about here?

seriously, NO. I don't even know what your talking about. Like using vaseline or something?

I'm laughing but serious in my question at the same time.

You know how when you inject an oil-based thing, like say prop? You squirt out just a drop or two to lube up the needle before you stick yourself. I was wondering if the same thing was necessary for igf.

Ohhh, that's funny. I've never done that. I'm sure it would be nice. But I always figured the blood would lube it well enough after you put a hole in the skin.

But with IGF, I wouldn't recommend it. I stick myself up to 5 times a day with a slin pin and have never needed to lube it. Save your gear.

I need to lube regular pins w/ gear or it hurts like a mofo going in. Made that mistake once.

But when using slin pins with slin, I never pre-lubed and had no problem. Guess the last 1/2 in. makes all the difference. :)

Jay, you can't 'lube' a water-based substance on the pin because it doesn't stick like oil does. Slin pins are so small anyway that they usually go right in before you know it.
