What would make the ultimate fighter?

If you were a fighter, and limited to two fighting styles to be expert at, which would they be. You can only choose two!

Jiu Jitsu and Muay Ty for me.

You have ultimate submissions and excellent strikes. The only weakness I see in this fighter is going against a wrestler, especially if you're a UFC fighter where you usually win if someone can lay on top of you for 3 rounds and miss 80% of there weak-ass ground and pound punches like weak ass Tito and Randy and now Diego. BORING

That's why Pride is so much better than the UFC. There aren't as many "ground and pound" fighters and for the one's they have, they actually try to finish fights rather than just laying on top of an opponent for 3 rounds.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say the thing that would make the ultimate fighter would be taking a champion boxer like.... vitali klitscko(SP?) and adding in some Gracy style ground and pound. If that was possible, I don't see any way of defeating him. Vitali is 6'6" tall 280lbs. That would be a tough m'fer to defeat.

Just a wrestler that does'nt feel stikes.

For me it has to be Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and thai boxing, basically vanderlay Silva from Pride the deadliest middle weight out there, no matter where he fights he wins, he can knock guys out with knees and punches or he can submit them on the ground.

The thing I like about Pride is that if there is no action for even one minute the referee will make them stand up and warn them

Ground and pound if you are in control on the ground. Or if you have a gun that will win you the title for show!!

Mmmmmmmmm.............Ground!

I'm glad I got another Pride fan in finephysique. Pride is about 10 times better than the UFC. Plus Pride has better fighters hands-down.

the weight classes are a bit different but here's what I got...

Heavies: Fedor or Mirko over Andre Arlowski
205's: Rampage or Wanderlei Silva over Chuck Lidell or Randy Couture (Rampage already beat chuck)
170's: Dan Henderson, Murillo Bustamonte, Ryo Chonan possibly over Matt Hughes and for sure over Joe Riggs or Georges St. Pierre
Lights: Gomi, Jens Pulver, Yves Edwards over Hermes Franca



You can see the Welterweights are the only even close competitions. Matt Hughes is tough but was submitted by a much lighter BJ Penn, and BJ is likely going to come to Pride since Dana White fucked him.
