Nice to see men that care so much!! =) There was a guy that beat my cousin (she was 17 at the time and he was much older). I was known for trying to protect girls who have been beat.

She was beat all the time, but one day she decided to leave and he shoved her down the steps with the kid in her hand. Then he followed her down the steps and finished beating her. Her face was messed up, she had cigarette burns on her, and her arms were all bruised up. Her face was so messed up (she says) because she couldn't catch herself when she fell down the steps, she was trying to protect her baby.

No one would tell me where he was and my uncle came up to Michigan from Alabama to finish him off, but she stuck up for the guy and wouldn't let anyone know where he was.

She fled to a different state with my Aunt. Someday he will get his and I if I'm called on the scene to help him I'm not so sure I want to arrive too fast.

Sometimes a woman is trapped due to lack of money, fear of death or constant physical abuse.

I think a lot of it is that the girl is first treated really good and then the man gradually brings into the relationship how he is the best that ever can happen to her. And he abuses her to "teach her a lesson" so that she can become a proper woman. I'll show him proper!
