Hey guys just wondering what some of yall took the ace, ncsf?? im new to this so i dont know what the most extensive is. And also did you take classes just study on your own? I was going for a degree in kinesiology and exercise fitness management but am kinda changeing my mind now. Was talking to dad and am prob. just gonna nock out my business degree now. Get my certification and go in as a partnership with father to open a new gym around here. If you have any ideas on the gym idea or on the personal training cert. it would be greatly appreciated if you would elaborate on it. Thanks guys.

I have taken the ACE and it is very question oriented. I studied on my own for the test. There are others that offer the practical and learning in the same class, then you take the test. I got my degree in kinesiology but then another in information systems. Working on a master in international business, but the completion of that is far away.
At any rate, I plan to get back into the gym biz either training clients or running one.
Don't know yet. I still have a 9-5 job,so I have a good steady income coming in.
Good luck.

thanks alot guys this issa looks pretty awesome have any of you completed it or gone through this way to get your certification?? thanks again for the replys

id scratch ISSA and go with ACE.

I got the ISSA and no body took it down here. Everyone is on Cooper's bag down here cause they are located in TX.

I did the ACE thing because gyms in my area required it.......very easy self study course......If you really like the lifestyle you will learn it easy.

The real challenge is turning yourself into a great salesperson in order to make a great living.

Sweet, I was wondering about this. I'm hoping to train people on the side when I egt out of the military. I train a few people now, but just out of generosity and the need for experience. I don't like how women end up wanting me to solve more than just their fitness problems... especially when they're ugly :D

Hey Gbart, what ever happened to the gym business. Good friend of mine has
had his own gym for over 20 years. I understand it is a hard industry to make it
in. I'm in Calif. and Hardcore Gym's are RARE. Every one is going the soft health
club direction trying to get more members.
