Has everyone noticed that in this day and age its easy to be fat and out of shape than to live the life we all love so much. Food is sooooooo much cheaper if i wanted to be an out of shape 150lb stick or a fatass but if i want to remain the size and bf% i am i have to pay BIG TIME. Food is outrageous, its almost like you have to keep a second job to keep these eating habits. Then you have gym costs, supplement costs (all kinds), etc. All the time while you doing the masses look at you funny like you have contracted some uncruable disease. Personally I love that part, lol.

But what do all of you think about the cost of this lifestyle. . . do you think its worth it? Personally I do.

i will tell you there is one difficult thing for me when it comes to this lifestyle.. and because of my experiences... training/diet/supps/sleep etc.. i know how to do it right... and man does it take $$$ ... actually the cost is almost unreasonable..

BUT.. the big hangup I have and not to hijack the thread.. is that because I do know how to do it correctly, and i'm not one to do this half assed... AND the fact that I basically took 3 years off from the gym b/c of family issues.. it is very hard and challenging for me to jump in w/ the resources that I currently have... I find myself using that at times as an excuse not to get started right away on things...

basically b/c $$$ is not at an all time high, i have found myself putting off training as hard as i would like too and finding certain excuses to be validated in the fact that I don't want to start, and get discouraged, because I can't do it the way I used to all the time before more financial obligations kicked in... i feel almost like 'waiting' till i can do it the right way...

BUT... i started AM cardio while I save the $$$ to get all the right foods etc.. so at least its a start... and in my opinion.. one of the worst parts of working out... am cardio.. blah!

I hear ya bud. NVS has me doing cardio 3x wk and I hate it but she's right its something I must do and I'm thankful I have her to kick my ass and keep me in check.

I'm the same way, if i cant do it right why bother. But then again, a lil something is better than nothing.

absolutely correct.. especially when you gotta start somewhere.. and waiting for the excuses to end before you start.. well, that's pretty much what everyone else does.. and we all know .. none of us are like the general public

I can def attest to this. NVS and I have 3 guinea pigs and 1 is a beast. His name is butterball b/c he's so big. Although my favorite is peanut and he is eating like there is no tommorrow so i think i have a future powerlifter in the making. lol

Very cheap and easy to be a regular person because regular foods are basically all sugars............Sugar is cheap and abundant. Fast food, Cereals, Cookies, candies, etc..........People rarely cook anymore.

Yeah you'd think govt would want to endorse healthy eating so that it would cut the costs down on health care and other services but that would make sense.

I feel you on this. although im into 100% and have been for a while, I get discouraged so easily. Im at the point where gains are far and few, and if Im not consistently improving (more weight lifted, more size gained, etc.) I just want to quit.

so I can either keeping doing what Im doing and keep getting what ive got, I can quit, or I can just keep hitting it harder (more training, more food, more gear, etc.) 2 of those dont sound very good to me and the 3rd concerns me for other reasons.

my dog groomer told me my wrottweiler was over weight last visit, but i can see her ribs still ? what does she know, she was about 300 lbs herself !!! lol
