I had another niacin red face yesterday in front of my family. Its just been so long since I have taken it. This brings me back a few years ago when I first took niacin. I turned red as hell in front of my new girlfriend and made her take me to the Dr. When I got to the Dr. I wasn't red anymore.. Damn did I feel like an idiot

yeah i know what ya mean bro i took it a few times and damn i was like wtf. i was redder then the koolaid guy.

their talking about the last time gbart went down on a goat...he didnt realize it was a female goat and got all red in the face...gbart is about as cool as the macarana LOL

we are talking about your first time taking niacin.... If you have never taken it, try it... then you will know

Niacin, when you take it you get a "flush". The more you take the more flush.
I havent taken it in a LONG time. I think I was taking it for the blood flow or
something, I forget. Some chick told me it was cool to take before sex. After a
few times I said fuck it - your whole body gets flushed - you feel and can see the
blood rushing to the skin. The more you take the worse it gets. Too much and you
start itching all over also. Only lasts for 20-60 minutes (if I remember right) but
you turn beet red and if it is the first time you probably start freaking out. Try it!!!!
Hey Winneevvee - what were you taking it for??
Oh yeah - it could also be what Irishpride said.

yeah man i wish you would have told me that was a female IP hell ip was drinking milk from a cow until i told him we didnt have any cows just bulls :arcade: still dont think he can drink milk to this day...

Facial flushing is the most commonly reported side effect.[8] It lasts for about 15-30 minutes, and is sometimes accompanied by a prickly or itching sensation. This effect is mediated by prostaglandins and can be blocked by taking 0.3 mg of aspirin half an hour before taking niacin, or by taking one tablet of ibuprofen per day. Taking the niacin with meals also helps reduce this side effect. After 1 to 2 weeks of a stable dose, most patients no longer flush. Slow or "sustained" release forms of niacin have therefore been developed to lessen these side effects.[9][10] [11]

Doses above 2 g per day have been associated with liver damage, particularly with slow-release formulations. [12]

High-dose niacin may also elevate blood sugar, thereby worsening diabetes mellitus.[13] Hyperuricemia is another side effect of taking high-dose niacin; thus niacin may worsen gout[citation needed].

Niacin at doses used in lowering cholesterol has been associated with birth defects in laboratory animals and should not be taken by pregnant women.[14]

Niacin at extremely high doses can have life-threatening acute toxic reactions. One patient suffered vomiting after taking eleven 500-milligram niacin tablets over 36 hours, and another was unresponsive for several minutes after taking five 500-milligram tablets over two days.[15][16] Extremely high doses of niacin can also cause niacin maculopathy, a thickening of the macula and retina which leads to blurred vision and blindness.[17]

here is a little info:

Niacin, also known as nicotinic acid or vitamin B3, is a water-soluble vitamin whose derivatives such as NADH, NAD, NAD+, and NADP play essential roles in energy metabolism in the living cell and DNA repair.[1] The designation vitamin B3 also includes the corresponding amide nicotinamide (or "niacinamide"), whose chemical formula is C6H6N2O.
Chemical structure of nicotinamide.
Chemical structure of nicotinamide.

Other functions of niacin include removing toxic chemicals from the body,[2] and assisting in the production of steroid hormones made by the adrenal gland, such as sex hormones and stress-related hormones.
