Do regular XBOX games play on the 360?

Do I need to do or buy anything special for old xbox games to work on the xbox 360.

no i think it depends on the game bro alot of them do you just throw it in there and it should work. Ive never played any of the older games. With ncaa 08 forza 2 and call of duty 4 coming out they have kept me occupied. oh yeah halo 3 too. yayo

Oh ok.........after my friend brought the 360 over and hooked it up my my high def I was blown away..........especially with HALO!
