Has anyone read an oldschool bodybuilding book and looked at the suggested diet? Most are unacheivable; examples from one list an 20 egg omlet paired with fresh fruit and oatmeal for breakfast at 8 am followed by a 10 am snack of a baked potato, brocoli and 6 oz. steak. I don't know about you guys but my ass wakes up at about 6 am and is in work without opportunity for a break to cook up a baked potato at 10.
What do you guys do to improvise? I have a fast metabolism; I have to consume about 3000 calories a day just to gain minimal weight which has me consuming at least one high-calorie meal a day. I dropped high-calorie for a while and lost weight which I did not like. Because of this I have structured my diet outside the normal example of healthy eating.
Anyone else have to eat high-fat, high calorie foods during their bulking cycle? ( I usually take 6 months to eat and work a short strenth oriented routine, then after achieving a goal weight I will eat healthier and work out with longer sessions).
