Diet

Has anyone read an oldschool bodybuilding book and looked at the suggested diet? Most are unacheivable; examples from one list an 20 egg omlet paired with fresh fruit and oatmeal for breakfast at 8 am followed by a 10 am snack of a baked potato, brocoli and 6 oz. steak. I don't know about you guys but my ass wakes up at about 6 am and is in work without opportunity for a break to cook up a baked potato at 10.

What do you guys do to improvise? I have a fast metabolism; I have to consume about 3000 calories a day just to gain minimal weight which has me consuming at least one high-calorie meal a day. I dropped high-calorie for a while and lost weight which I did not like. Because of this I have structured my diet outside the normal example of healthy eating.

Anyone else have to eat high-fat, high calorie foods during their bulking cycle? ( I usually take 6 months to eat and work a short strenth oriented routine, then after achieving a goal weight I will eat healthier and work out with longer sessions).

I have to eat like this constantly on/off cycle, like you my metabolism is high. I'd say for me 4-5000 calories of anything I want...never gain an ounce of fat, and don't gain alot of bodyweight either. On AAS im lucky to put on 3-5lbs in a month eating like that and dosing, im extremely difficult.

Getting big is expensive and tedious.

Amen to that, getting big is VERY expensive, wouldnt take any of it back, but it is very expensive.

What I would do is figure out what nutritional values you are getting out of that solid meal and make a RTD shake with the same protein, carb, fats values.
