Anybody ever tried this stuff or heard anything about it? Got my blood results in today and LDL is 173 and my HDL is 53 and the doc wants me on Lipitor. any feedback?

My wife is on Lipitor. It is pretty good and hasn't done much at all to her liver. She has a genetic cholesterol problem. Her total levels were over 500. Lipitor has brought it all the way down to 110. I'd say go ahead with it.

Bumpin it up for other opinions!? Thanks for the reply saudades. Another question is why do they say you have to take it for the rest of your life?

It is one of the most commonly prescribed, and effective, drugs for lowering cholesterol LDL and raising HDL. I have never used it myself, but it is one of the first drugs med students learn about when studying Cholesterol.
