april-everyone do their #*%# taxes?

got mine back already - got a good chunk - almost gone - braces for one
of my daughters - shocks and overhaul on my wifes car - Inshurance -
and have to get airline tickets for vacation in July. At least I got some
shit done with it. I went 8 years once without filing. They were chasing
the hell out of me. That IRS can be pretty scary. That was expensive!!

haa haa... getting a tax guy was the best thing we ever did.

I'm in a shitload of trouble this year... last year I did a good chunk of contract work after getting laid off from my job in December of 06. So we hire a financial advisor to start planning for the arrival of the baby and he tells me I'm having too much witheld from my check that I was doing intentionally to make up for having to pay the taxes on the contract work, he and my wife underestimate how much I made the first 3 months of the year and low and behold now that our accountant is doing my taxes I owe 10 grand. It's my own fault because I told them that I was going to have to pay and they both kept saying not to worry that we were going to get a big refund... No sense in being pissed off about it, either way at the end of the day I'm going to have to pay at least 6 or 7 g's. Fucking taxes suck.

Me and my wife have the max taken out cus that has happened to us before.
Now we live with what we get and KNOW we aint paying at tax time but getting
something back. Good lesson to learn now, cus come time for pre-school, braces
ext....- whatever you get back will have somewhere to go.

I hate taxes, too. Both my wife and I had plenty of tax taken out of our checks, but we still ended up owing. I was so disappointed. I'm happy at least that it is under $600.
