How many actually work in a field that you use your degree. The reason i ask is that Im about to finish my degree and i dont want to work in my field or any thing relating to it.

haha...i dont think that many people do..it is just nice to have one...for some reason employers want u to have a degree whether or not it is in that field or not...crazy...as for me..i never went to college and am not doin to damn bad... <!--emo&GG--><img src="http://musclechemistry.mantisforums.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/bigsmile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='GG'><!--endemo-->

I don't use mine...A degree is good to have, but who ever hires you is going too train you.  You go to school to get an education, not a job.

I have my BA. For my first job after college I didn't need my degree, but they moved me to another position and it was required, but my degree had NOTHING to do with the work I was doing.  Now I'm planning to go back to school to get my teacher certification--wish I would have known I wanted to teach in the first place!!!

I coached football/track & field and taught math/science for 2 yrs  in H.S.

Me I use mine. I could not have gotten my job without it. <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://musclechemistry.mantisforums.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

Me....still looking with my degree in my hand...waiving and waiving it, but no one wants it!!!

The ole' economy is slowly creaped out...and I mean slowly!!!...lol

It is strange most law enforcement agencies require a 4 yr degree. But the degree which is preferred is business or accounting. FBI, CIA, DEA....So the degree you get doesn't mean anything. ???

I have A.A. in "pimpology".Just kiding i have a A.A. in American History and I manage a strip club.Maybe i'll teach one day.

Ive studied for a number of subjects, most of which i didnt bother going into a carreer with.

Amongst them ive done a machine engineering course passed with flying colours, marine endineering, not to mention spending 4 1/2 years in the royal marines (The hardest fucking thing ive ever done, and nothings matched it since) Mind you, i learned some good things during my stint in the maines lol. Then went onto professional security/body gaurd training which was fun...i made a successfull security business out of that. Life savers certificate, first aid certificate so as you can see ive been for some fucking good courses and degress lol.

How many lead to a career, two, the royal marines andmy self employed security business.
