This FUCKING sucks! $4.00 a gallon here and I go through two 25 gallon tanks a week for work!!
:curse::curse::curse::curse::curse:

$4.00??? You lucky fuck. It's over $4.30 a gallon even at the cheapest gas stations in town. The average is probably more like $4.40 for 87 octane fuel. It is ridiculous. It is literally making me go bankrupt from the high cost of fuel and stuff that has gone up in price do to fuel costs.

shit my wife drives 40 minutes each way to work, talk about gas money killing us!

Don't be a jackass bro. We got to look out for everyone on the board and if you do it others will follow. MC has been around for this long because we keep our members safe and stay away from anything to do with sourcing. We don't want to be associated with those kind of problems. Not trying to be a dick, but I don't appreciate the sarcastic remarks. Just trying to keep you and everyone else safe.

Bio fuels was supposed to help but all the stuff associated with corn and soy are going up! I was watching the history channel and they were talking about corn and you would be amazed at what has corn in it. EVERYTHING!!! Even plastics are made with corn now! I dont think the polliticians no matter what party have a concept of filling up the family car . They havent done it for years . They dont know how much four dollars a gallon is. Hell I still remember when it hit two dollars a gallon. I said it cant go much higher than that.... I knew this topic would get you guys goin, so dont get off the computer and kick the dog or hit the wife. Lol! This just sucks!

Volz, already has a combined 48 highway and city non battery car

Honda next year will release a 60mpg

guess what though after demand goes down so will the prices, everyone will own a 40mpg ride and gas will go back to a dollar. Then the big oil guys can start paying emission gov. to ban, ban, ban, and we will be stuck with a 120hp getting 12 miles to the gallon.

btw the new corvette, like 500hp gets about 24mpg, so whats the deal with my 185hp van gettin 11.4

Really sucks I drive 40miles one way so now carpooling with another office staff member and that sucks too but saves gas.

i think there are quite a few factors that our driving our gas up and i dont think we are anywhere near a solution yet. infact im betting it will go higher

Optimal, why dont we all just hop on that big ole bull or cow you got in your avatar, i imagine we could save a good bit of gas money doing that

I got gas today at $4.04. Shitty, but I imagine it'll get worse here soon enough. I have been looking into getting a car with better gas mileage here pretty soon.

There was a news story about the saudis calling a summit to refute the "oil is in a shortage" battle cry the media loves to throw around.
Why would they do this?

Because they aint getting nearly $4/gal for it. They are still getting what they were years ago, BUT, now that demand is taking a hit - they are losing money. Its the investors marking it all up.

I actually work for one of the big oil co's and I know a lot about all this shit. Speculators are driving the prices up. OPEC drove the prices up originally to get more money, but now speculators are causing this. Hopefully those fucking future traders get raped when or if oil drops in price as demand declines. Alaska is a huge untapped source. Canada has a lot of cheaper oil. The US has a huge reserve of oil and gas that they are just stockpiling that could be released if they wanted to do so. There are other deep water reserves just waiting to be tapped.

It's the combination of government, OPEC, global fear, and speculators that are causing all of this. Demand is decreasing so therefore price should decrease. As you can see it isn't helping out gas or oil prices yet. Hit me up if you want to know more about all of this. I've reviewed many hours of House and Senate hearings on the topic of oil and gas concerns/prices. It's a bunch of shit. You would be surprised. Honestly I don't blame it all on the oil companies, but if they wanted to they have the power to change it as well as the US government. It's a shame we are so dependent on oil that everyone is afraid to rock the boat, but something similar will happen like in the late 70's or early 80's. Demand will drop and prices will drop slightly. We probably wont get back to $2.00 gas again, but hopefully it drops quite a bit.
