So my situation as of right now. I have no car of my own , no job...

My oldest brother found a honda civic runs like new for 500 dollars some girl sold it , which the only problems wrong was it needed freon.

So he told me he was going to give me his eclipse and talk parents into putting me on their insurance whenever they had the money. Just as long as I went back to school.

Which ive had problems tryin to figure out what exactly I would like to do with my life.

But I think becoming a SC or strength and conditioning coach. My thoughts about this is that I would like to do it for a highschool. Does anybody know the benefits, earnings , steps involved , certifications , schooling needed?

Which the main reason I think that I would like to be a SC coach for a highschool is because before I graduated in the weight room nobody really knew much they just did what the coach told them to do. Which is a good thing , to a certain point , because when not in the coaches guidance they dont know what to do to benefit the most from their training.

I figure if I worked in a highschool I could make a bigger impact. Im not entirely sure if the community college close to me is able to offer anything that I would need to help me with this career but im hoping that I can find financial aid along the way.

i am not sure if its state by state mandates or if its one main regualtion throughout the country but i do know you need a certain ammount of college credits to help coach any type of highschool team. Your local community college advisor will know how many credits u need to do what ur talking about, and then yes apply for financial aid and some free grants u dont have to pay back and ur well on ur way brutha

You need teaching credentials to step any where near a high school. This means you need a 4-year degree (usually in education) and then about 16 months of post-grad.

The loophole: get a generic POS PT certificate and volunteer. That’s the only way.

Or consulting, but that’s a whole nother ball game.

oh yeah wife wanted me to mention if this is what u want to do in a highschool, their are special circumstances surrounding low income district schools, meaning you need even less college, she has been a teacher going on 8 years now and she works in a bad district and they hire people with next to zero credentials and credits unfortunatly

so if ur just lookiung for a coaching job for conditioning the student say for football or whatever it shouldnt be to hard to find a job bro

I dont want to coach a team or teach... I just want to be in charge of the strength and conditioning class.

Where you make the workouts for the class , give them guidance , tips , track their progress , etc

I'd suggest to go to the community college, talk to the advisor and start taking
the basic prerequisit's for a 2 year degree and get a part time job. It wont be a waste
until you figure out what you want to do and how you are going to do it.
Dont look for shortcuts. The more you put into something the more you get out of it.

Yah I plan on trying to get as much education as I can in the field. Because the more education the more money and opportunities. Also there isnt a specific school that I would like to weight training coach at. So its better to get enough education to be able to take it to other locations

definitely start in jr. college - in itself it will hardly be affordable. I see no point spending 4x as much money starting at a university. I milked jr.college until I maxed out my transferable credits (72).

You will probably need to get a bachelors in kinesiology or similar as a start (different universities have different majors - I used kinesiology cause thats all my university has). After that, you will probably need some certifications to go on top of it. You might not need any certifications/degrees in teaching or education to start. But later you could perhaps go to graduate school for an education or teaching degree on top of your bachelors.
