Am I doing too much cardio?

I am doing a cutting cycle now and I do 40 minutes of cardio on this running machine at my gym on an empty stomach 3 times a week.  I run really hard on the thing and burn over 700 calories in that time.  I also throw in a little cardio after either shoulders or arms during the week for about 30 minutes with a little less intensity.  For my diet I was just eating clean and and getting in around 2800 calories and it wasn't doing anything drastic for fat loss and decided to cut the calories to around 2000 and only eat a little carbs before and a larger amount after.  Basically what I am asking is with that diet will doing all of that cardio hinder muscle gain at all?  If so do you think I should maybe go less intense or for a shorter amount of time, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Anytime you cut cals that drastically, you will hinder muscle growth. Cardio raises cortisol levels and that can also hinder muscle growth and can actually cause catabolism of muscle. Of course AAS helps retain muscle. I am currently cutting and I am taking in 3200 cals ED. Roughly 2400 of that is from protien sources. I do 30-40 minutes cardio in the AM 5 days a week and 30-40 min of cardio after training 5 days a week. The faster you remove Bf, the more muscle you will lose. I prefer to take Bf off slowly and keep my protien intake extremely high. Carbs and fat should be calculated by the amount of protien you are eating. Usually 50% protien, 25% fats and 25% carbs will do the trick for most people. Good luck, later
