Using HGH can reduce your T3 levels. I'm not fully clear on how this happens, but if you aren't taking 10 iu or more for an extended length of time, then I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you wanted to supplement with thyroid, then I would use a small dosage of T4 since it is converted into T3. Someone posted a regimen for T3 and T4 a while back, you could do a search for it.

HGH reduces T3 levels because increased GH levels in your body will stimulation somatostatin to be produced. And it is the somatostatin that inhibits both the nautral GH levels in your body as well as the TRH, which is what initiates the release of T3 and T4.

So what are the therapeutic doses of t3 to keep t/3 levels were they should be?

Therapeutic levels of T3 will keep a person's TSH between .5-5.0 mlU/L. Anything above this comes from hypothyroidism and anything below this comes from hyperthyroidism b/c TSH has an inverse relationship to T3/T4. (This is due the negative feedback or the stimulatory effect of T3/T4 on TSH production) - This is normal physiology
In many hypothyroid patients the normal starting dose of thyroid hormone is usually 100 mcg/day of Levothyroxine (T4). However, thyroid hormone can also be used to treat depression in people who have normal TSH levels. Here the dose is dropped to 50 mcg/day levothyroxine and 5 mcgs/day of Cytomel (T3). Then their doc would keep checking their TSH levels each month and would increase the dose to as close to 5.0 as he could to treat their symptoms.
I think the key here is to try and figure out how much HGH will decrease your TSH and thus decrease your T3 levels. It would be ideal to get a normal base TSH level first to see where you are at naturally. And then to get one while you are on HGH as well. Then it would be easier to figure out where to keep the TSH. The problem is finding a doc who is not only willing, but open minded enough to do this for you.
I am trying to find some data on GH induced TSH decrease but haven't had any success so far. Add to that the problem of being ridiculously busy right now and with family down, and I doubt I will get to it before Tuesday. But I am working on it. I'm also curious to see how far above 5.0 mlU/L or below 0.5 mlU/L your TSH can go without getting any significant symptoms...but I guess we will see.
I'll post some more about this later.

Do you have any more on this Spiderman? At what point does someone on HGH need to add t3 or t4 supplementation?

hey bud, I can dig up plenty of research on it if you want. But I don't know the exact point you would need to add T3 or T4 unless you had a free T4 level to look at. Shoot me a PM buddy.
