28 year old ranger in the army i have weighed 155 fer 10 years and despite all efforts i have failed to gain any more mass. I know you guys are on the cutting edge of this shit and i would like to know what supplements yall are taking to make your gains cause my metabolism is the devil and i cant gain weight. I would like to get up to 180 and i will be happy

I would start with some creatine, glutamine and eating every 2.5 hours along with a good training routine and i would go heavy as hell, this is a good jump start to adding mass pryor to thinking about using any steroids

Thanks for the reply your advice coincides with that of a buddy of mine who is tryin to discourage me from using anything extra. I have tried this but usually only see minimal gains my friggin matabolsim is nuts. I was injured back in 05 and didnt exercise for a year and just ate whatever and i was still cut afterwards and girls would even ask me if i worked out and i would tell em babe i haev been sitting on my ass for a year lol. I eat about 4 large meals a day and try to take in the ratios of fat, protien and carbs to my body weight i have been told and I just seem to be stuck on this plateau.

Have you had your testosterone levels checked? I was like you at that age and couldn't gain any further than 150 lbs. I finally had my test levels checked at 30 years old and found I had low testosterone. Once I was put on hormone replacement therapy, I gained quickly.

Something you must know is that it takes food and lots of it to get big.. And i dont mean pizza, etc because that will make you put on the wrong kind of size

gaining weight is alot more simple than people make it out to be.

if you eat more calories than you burn, you will put on weight. For some, that does include not so healthy foods.

yup dreww is spot on. I have a bunch of friends that are hardgainers and complain saying they eat so much blah blah blah. I asked them to make a list look up the cals and add them up. They were basically eating maintenance cals. Its easy just eat more then you can possible burn you will gain weight theres no way around it.

I saw some weightgainer that was over 1800 calories. I gained two pounds reading the label. LOL. As you have been told already just eat more calories plain and simple. Shoot for as much whole food as possible and supplement some type of weight gainer until you get the approximate amount of calories a day it takes to maintain your weight and eat a thousand more a day to start. Give it a shot.

how do i figure out how many calories i need to be taking in or is there an average amount of calories i should shoot for like 7500 er sumthing

its funny, i work with a 38 year old ex-army drill officer. Dudes in awesome shape, very healthy. But when he talks about getting heavy, its like 190.

try 5,000 cals -250 grams of protein per day. That alone will be hard to get down every day if your not used to it.

no way you will be getting that many down!

figure out roughly how many calories you are getting a day now. and then increase them by 300-500 calories a day. If you increase your calories by too much too quickly, you will probably experience alot of gas, indigestion and frequent trips to the shitter.

is a supplement like ""no explode" gonna be detrimental or helpful? i have heard mixed opinions as it is now i just take protein and glutamine and usually only after working out. I have an appointment with a nutritionist next week to help me with my diet to make sure i am on the right track.

thats up to you man i dont care for NO exlode. I use just CEE creatine ehtyl ester and it works great. Best ive ever used and i normally dont get any results from creatine.

Im certainly with drew on the cals up them slowly or you will shit half the day. Also make sure to count your cals accurately via either the box or online you can look up and get a pretty accurate measurement. Then see how many your eating. It always seems like more then you really are. Shoot for around 5k cals and 250 or so g's of protein and you should start packing on some weight soon.

well i saw a nutritionist and he put me in a bod pod to get my bodyfat % and figure out my resting metabolic rate and and see how many calories i should be taking in everyday its like 3400 a day to maintain and he suggests 4000 a day to gain mass so he put me on a diet and now its time to put in the work thanks for the advice guys!!

week 1 done definitly feelin more energetic in the gym new diet has me feeling healthier as a whole saving wiegh in for end of week 2 and every 2 weeks after that.
