my wife and me just recently purchased a cruise to cozumel and somewhere else. We were wondering if any muscle chem members know if it is easy to put your choice of liquor, how  strict are they on checking luggage for this. I know im being cheap, but our cruise told me that drinks are generally around $7.50 on a five day cruise that can be expensive me and my wife arent alchoholics (last time we  drank was new years) any replies would be helpful.

It depends on the cruise line, I went on Carnival and they were were always checking at the ports of call. but didn't check too well when I first boarded the ship.Drinking on a cruise is really expensive, it's just that kind of atmosphere where u wanna have a few drinks,in my case quite a few:) If u do get caught trying to sneak some on they just hold it for you until your cruise is over then give it back.Have fun, and good luck!

i have an aunt who  lives in cozumel, and has a jewlery shop off the cruise line piers.  I'd give ya more info if i could but then... well i'd be telling you about myself.

wish the woman would come around more often.. she hasn't been around in over 9 years...

:(

STICKLER, I think i bought some jewelry from her, lol. Seriously though, when Dez and I were there we bought a watch and a ring from an American gal that came from somewhere on the Eastern US. She was part owned in the shop. It might have been her!!! As far as the cruise lines, we took alcohol on the ship (Carnival) and they never said a word to us. But, alcohol in mexico is more expensive than in the tariff free shop on the ship anyway!!! Especially Tequila. Later

A few years back I went on a Carnival cruise to Cozumel, Grand Caymen, and Jamaica.  I packed two fifths of vodka and got them on no problem.  The only problem was that I drank most of it the first night and ran out.  You can buy liquor for very low prices when you get to cozumel and bring it back on board.  You can claim a certain amount of goods when you reboard the ship.  Make sure you stop at Carlos and Charlies while you are there, I had to be carried back onto the boat that night.
Later,
Thate
