People who are knowledgeable on the NYC area

I am wanting to take a vacation with the finance' to NYC, and stay close to times square. Ive emailed several different condo owners for prices, and i recieved a good deal on a nice condo in Harlem. I am wanting to go for new years eve, any suggestions or comments? I want to be kinda close to Times Square and other attractions

Yea, I am now looking at Midtown I think its called, suppose to be really close, and yes the price is higher and I will probably book this week.

My first thoughts, as well.

It's going to be pretty costly, but if the experience is worth it, go for it. December in NYC is so pretty... everything's all decorated for the holidays and you can go see the tree in Rockefeller Center (if that interests you?) Gotta go shopping on 5th Avenue and walk around Broadway, Times Square, etc...
