The last time i was injured, I applied igf straight to the location and i was healed almost instantly. That worked well for "tennis elbow" but i dont know if its a good idea for this.....

My achillies tendon is really bothering me from running. I simply wont get better cause i refuse to quit. Mornings i can hardly walk.

anyway, i was thinking of applying it either cross foot, or fore-aft.

I know it would be a painful application.

I would be real careful applying where there is no muscle at all. Just my two cents. I had one episode where I missed the muscle and got a nice knot that got a small sterile abcess once. Bactrim cleared it up but it looked like I had a jumbo marble in my calf.

I too have resumed running and wish I could get my ankle/foot to respond from applications of IGF.

The feedback I have gotten is that I can't shoot my ankle/lower calf, as there is not enough muscle, or fat. Bummer.

It did help my shoulder......

Did you try this norm. I know a lot of guys go subq so Im curious to see if this helps. My left elbow has been killing me lately and it may be an option for me.

no, i havent tried this. I dont want to make my ankle worst. My tennis elbow might have been a bit diffrent. Right now im restricting my running to shorter durations.

basically im not running on a tread mill anymore and my body needs to adjust. im 255 right now, thats a lot of weight coming down.

IGF is not a miracle cure for injuries. IGF yes it will help the heeling process but you have to stop running. You have to do Physical Therapy and rest. Once your therapist says you are good to go you should be able to run. On an injury without IGF could be 4 months with IGF it could be 2 or 3 months but with therapy. Remember IGF just helps speed the process but you have to do it the right way.

Seems like it would be about as useful as injecting your penis. I'm really curious though, if you do get up to doing this please let me know. I'll start injecting my knee right away!

If it is real tendonitits it is an infection of the tendon and unfortunately only rest and anitbiotics will help.

Who told you this? Tendonitis is simply inflamation of the tendon. If you need antibiotics fore your tendonitis you have serious issues. Rest, anti inflammatories, and IGF work well for me and I'll only use anti inflammatories if it is really serious.

You can apply IGF to the triceps, and it will help the tendon. I've done it twice now.

What about my lower back issues, where would be the best place for IM or sub q for that issue ?

thanks for the feedback

^^ im sure if its muscle related, applying it directly to the muscle would be a great recovery.

little update. I did talk to a doctor about the achillies tendon. he said that tendon has several strands that attach the calf to the heal. What happens from abuse is those strands break and form the knot that i have in the middle of the tendon. Those knots can be shaved off, but they will not reattach. So once you break them... your screwed. If you keep damaging this tendon, the whole thing will snap and then your really screwed.... its a very difficult operation and you will obviously will be immobile for quite some time.
