Why do YOU allow steroids to be illegal??

I have often pondered this. I myself broadcast my usage. I have at every agency I have worked for. I have jumped through their stupid hoops. Now when things break bad, who is the first person to get a call?? Me. As bodybuilders we are a minority so that doesn't compare to the failure of the Prohibition. However, as a minority we can't play the always powerful race card. What we can play is our dedication, intelligence, and perserverence. Many here are putting themselves in a position be be labelled Felons!!! Why??!! Speak up! This has been eating at me for a while. It took the threat of a dicsrimination lawsuit and me openly addressing the ignorance of the IA Dept before they caught on. If enough of you cared we could change things. Otherwise its Russian Roulette.

Was thinking the same thing, but I doubt it would change anything. Most americans dont want and dont care to learn look at our school systems after all. All they would do is convict us all, pat themselves on the back and say "good police work there boys!".

No, its run by crooked politicians that just want to make more money. If we would speak up I think things would change. No one is screaming about all this money being spent on this stupid steroids in baseball shit. Its time we taxpayers spoke up instead of just gave our money to the ghetto's and criminals and bullshit politicians. I think many would be amazed as to what we could change. The ghetto criminals who get 3K a month of your tax dollars and don't work have more influence in this society than we do!!! Its time to change that!!

Society wants that. The ignorant couch potatoes and fat politicians want that. Not the enforcers. I'm no hippocrit and I never will be. I've never had a problem with a bodybuilder.
 
It just goes to show that the people who make these laws are biggo fat, lazy mother f'ers that have probly never step foot in a gym their whole lives... They most likely sit behind a desk all day then go home and sit on the couch eating potato chips all evening til it's time to go to bed.


on the other hand, the "good" thing is that not just anyone can walk around looking like a fitness model or like Arnold...lol... for example, outside of the gym, I don't have any friends, relatives, or even co-workers that are on gear. Nobody in my circle of friends even works out. I'm the only one that actually cares about my appearance and health...

We are a rare breed brothers.
 
I used to be young and full of piss and vinegar. I've been in and out of the court room for many things. I've seen shit that would make you burn a flag if it happened to you.

Only thing i've learned is the court system, all the judges and lawyers have one thing in mind = self gratification + self preservation.

If your not one of them. Your a piece of shit.
 
I try to educate as many people as I can when the subject comes up at my work place. The fact they are illegal is exactly as you say Vettguy. The politicians and govt thinks they know whats best for you.

I know that our gov wants me to be this way, but man ive been in jail and court to many times to not understand there are some things worth fighting for and others that are best left alone. They would legalize pot before they did aas and I repeat LEGALIZE as in across the board not just make it available for special cases. So in closing im gonna have to repeat what a couple other people posted above me. I dont care if they make aas legal none of my friends are anywhere near as dedicated to training as I am, and it shows they may be "bigger" then me , but they dont look like I do and dont get as many gals either.

I understand a lot of your points. My point is that the Govt really doesn't care. Research the scheduling of steroids and you will see that one moron made them controlled substances. How many educated intelligent people would it take to reverse that. Governing bodies don't care. They just want your vote and more money. It is a moot point with me. I can get nearly anything human grade prescribed and if they schedule IGF I can just get a script. I just hate the stigma and the whole "well I would look like that if I took steroids too, but I'm not a criminal" crowd.

This is a good piece Bryant Gumble did on steroids. I was surprised anyone in the media would put an honest positive spin on Steroids. he kinda talks about the Govt banning them and the outrage from various federal agencies that objected. Said there was ZERO reason to ban them.

The Govt only cares about controlling the sheeple.

if they legalized AAS that would cost the supplement companies millions of dollars a year-they won't let that happen

also, it is a form of self prescribed HRT...
that would mean less sick people in the long run and that would cost the drug companies a ton of money too

if AAS were half as dangerous as they would lead the public to believe then THEY WOULD LEGALIZE IT...
that would be more sick people and more money in their pocket-just like tobacco and liquor

I see some of your point, but you may be misinformed. The FDA steps in to take supplements off the market all the time. Why? B/C they don't care, they never got the money to stamp them with their seal of approval which is nothing more than a gov't kickback. Steroids would need FDA approval, that's big money!! Plus the FDA doesn't screw with pharmaceuticals it has already approved until they start killing people. I really believe it just takes enough of us standing together to get them legalized. An 18 y/o can smoke and almost gaurantee that he will get cancer, a 21 y/o can drink and then cause all kinds of problems.... 99% of calls to Police for help involving real violence also involve alcohol. How many knew that?
 
We dont have the freedom to put any substance into our own bodies. These prohibitions have been used to discriminate, target, disgrace and whatnot for political reasons. Whatever middle of america wants is what we get.

Middle america is closed minded, narrow minded and easily persuaded with ad campaigns to believe, vote, live, condone, destroy, kill for reasons they cant easily justify accept they are ready to defend there narrow views with slogans they have been taught and programmed with since childhood........ Like......." Just say NO" while they pop prescribed narcotics because thats O.K. when a doctor writes a script. When a doctor writes a script they believe that celebrex to be safer than Vitamin C.

It's strange but Catholic churches have historically killed ENLIGHTENED groups of people becuase they have very little fear and guilt and therefore cant be easily controlled. This subject is so deep and can go in so many directions.


Basically, until you can get soccer moms to accept steroids they will never be legal. POT will be legal some day because most soccer moms smoke it or have smoked it.
