619 Muscle Parking Lot Bash

Any So Californians here going to this? Next weekend I'm skipping out of work to hit this up.

Is this where you train? I'm looking to relocate to SD within the next month or so and I've heard alot of good things about 619 muscle. Any other places I should consider when looking for a new gym out there?
 
It doesn't get more hardcore in SD than World Gym. I just relocated to white suburbia so I joined a local 24hr that thankfully stocks 160lb dumbells. I'm usually there in the early am so I miss most the housewives and beach bodies. Anyways, yeah, this place is the best and cheapest in SD. You'll run into Gina there nearly everyday. Several other amatures and pros (figure and bb) train there too.
 
BTW, this event was pretty good. My little girls took pictures with Jay and Gina - it was pretty damn funny. They were so excited to meet Jay after years of watching his dvds. There were a couple powerlifters there deadlifting cars...too bad they looked like absolute hell ran over twice. Very thin and frail looking. But he did deadlift the rear end of a mustang...lol...
 
Well that pretty much seals my decision then... looking forward to joining the west coast. My only regret is that it won't be soon enough!

I always like going to the World Gym on Garnet. I remember seeing Nasser there on many occasions- seen some others there as well. I thought it would different there in one respect- but now. Everyone was working chest and arms and I pretty much got the leg equipment all to myself every time..

I think they are doing some sort of an event again later this month (before Olympia). You showing up? Or is the East Coast really that fun?
 
Not before the olympia, but I'm planning to come out the first week in October to visit and find an apartment and a job, so hopefully I'll be there by November. Do you know any places hiring? I have a corporate background, but I have no idea what I'm going to do once I get out there... Hopefully all the cards will fall into place.
 
Yeah I'm sure between my wife and I we can steer you towards a decent apartment and job. PM me sometime and perhaps we'll chat.

Thanks, I'll hit you up closer to my visit... so far, craigslist has been a decent tool in my searches, but personal reviews are always best!
