make your predictions... I say same as 2009, more lies, more bullshit, less jobs!

Notice the BIG BONUSES that the CEOs at the major banks, that had to ask for a bailout got last year? Funny huh?

I see the Fed raising interest rates by Fall to curb inflation and I also see a second round of mortgage foreclosures because of it. There were 2 million foreclosures in 2009 and I have read there is a forecast of 2.4 million in 2010. I think things are going to get worse before they get any better.

Good news is the 2010 elections can swing the balance of power and stop for the moment the agenda of the far left that has hijacked this country and made a joke of our Constitution.

Constitution. You mean they even remember what it is. Buying states into obamacare with no state taxes. Sad isn't it. It will only get worse. Its to the point now that having a degree is like having a diploma 20 years ago. I know tons of skilled laborers who can't find work. Papermills here are all closing. Mills in general really. We have outsourced almost all our manufacturing to places like China (who owns us anyway.) I am hoping that the power shifts as well. Can you imagine looking at you sick kid for three days waiting to be okayed for insurance the government is making you pay for. Then again we won't have it for 7 years if I remember right. I predict as long as the far left is in control global warming will continue to be exaggerated, jobs will continue to be lost, and taxes on the middle class will go through the roof.

and here us middle class are loosing our jobs, houses, cars, etc

but hey we're paying for it so fuck right:thumbsup:

Wow, some interesting opinons here...

Im very non-political and I have never cared to follow politics, at all. Im just a common guy working my @ss off like the next guy, trying to support myself and my family.

I happen to be in the wholesale car business and 2008 was my most profitable year, and 2009 was my worst year. 2010 is the decade mark for my business and things are starting to look up for me. Dont get me wrong, the business has changed and I lost nearly everything in 2009 like everyone else. I just choose to stay positive and keep hammering away everyday and so far things are starting to turn around for my situation.

I predict that 2010 will be the start of the comebacks for business's in various industries, not all industries. I agree that we are not done with the fall of the housing markets, but I think with some consumer spending thats noticed in the stock market things will gradually roll again this year. I think things will only gradually start rolling until banks start lending money again, which is the real root of the problem taking politics our of the equation. If banks dont loan money so people can buy things, industries lay off uneeded workers, laid off workers cant pay house payments, and so on and so on...

Most people like me lost or nearly lost everything in early 2009, mine started slipping off in late 2008. I have already went through the "adjusted cost of living" and if business stayed slow I can still survive as I have lost all I can loose and adjusted my spending to the current economy. If business continues to pick up I can put money away or be spending money. I would hate to be one of those people who has stressed to hold on to everything right now.. Looking back Im glad I shed all my excess stuff and moved on...my life is so much simpler now...

Just my thoughts..

the feds are the ones who made the banks write all those unsecured loans. then when shit hits the fan, they think they can fix what they originally fucked up. the feds cant run shit...and now they think they can run healthcare. gimme a break

my inlaws own a local restaurant and I was sitting in the bar a month or so ago and a personal injury attorney and a washington dc lobbyist argued a similar issue..this is sort of what I gathered listening to these drunken fools argue..

The Feds do control lending to an extent through the FDIC. If a bank is insured through the FDIC (they all are) they have to lend by FDIC regulations in order for the loan funds to be insured by the FDIC..

So what I gathered by the argument is this... We are at an all time low with interest rates, the Fed is literally giving money to the banks at low interest to lend to us...the regular people. The problem is another arm of the Fed the FDIC has set lending guidelines to where literally no one can secure a loan anymore..Welcome to the USA...our own goverment, contridicting our own goverment.

Its really funny how the common person today doesn't really know how fucked we are.

Alot of 'common' people dont spend their lives watching the news reading stocks and about the economy. Some of us just flat out dont give a fuck about any of it. This country has been going down the shitter for a long time and i really dont give a shit anymore. Canada sounds better everyday, they dont care if you use gear up there either another reason to go. The economy has effected all of us and will continue.

You guys will live alot longer and happier lives without CNN and any other news channel you have on your cable network. I change the channel at the gym from CNN to ESPN everyday. I could care less about Haiti and their fucking earthquake. Since thats all thats on the TV nothing important or talking about how to fix shit.I lost friends and family, including my house in the biggest tornado storm in history. Haiti got supplies faster then we did or the superdome after katrina did. Fucking sad that our priorities are as fucked up as they are but oh well. Thats our government for ya.

i love how he's calling for bipartisanship all the time. its a fucking dream, get over it. he acts like only republicans are the ones stopping it, but the democrats are just as stubborn if not worse

sorry for stating this. I really see no division between republican and democrat.

I seriously believe its a system that keeps us divided, blaming the other party.

yeah it's kinda like Cartman said on South Park, a country that says one thing and does another...
everybody is to busy bitching and blaming instead of getting the job done...

the state of the union speech was basically like the speech he gave when he got in office-and next years speech will be the same

and things will just keep getting worse
