Ok.. what a DAY !! I have the WORST Luck.. Read.

Wanna know my luck everyone.. do you!?!

Today, I took my 5month old Pitbull Pup out to go to the bathroom.. as a reward, i give him a treat for going PEE outside..

So.. I bring him in, he's all happy.. wanting his treat.. and he's so excited he jumps in the air to grab it out of the air.. he lands wrong..

And breaks NOT 1 .. but BOTH BACK FIBULA'S ... so he had to have emergency surgery.. he is at the Vet Hospital as I type this.. Poor lil dude..

Guys. He was so in pain, and there was nothing I could do.. he criend and whimpered.. then started going into shock.. shaking.. eyes bugging out of his head.

I am telling you, I have NEVER been so scared in my life. I was so worried for my little dude. I have had 5 grown men try and kick my ass.. I have been stabbed.. i have been shot at. I have had multiple guns pulled on me. AND NONE OF THAT PUT ME IN AS MUCH FEAR as I felt today..

To top it off... I have the friggin flu.. I havent been able to eat for two days.. puking... diarrhea... i would be lucky if I have consumed 100g's of protein in the last 48 hours. I have been able to hold down crackers and some bread .. yaaay muscle building food there...

Ok enough of that... Everyone.. My dude.. My Man... IS ALL ALONE in a vet hospital with 6 metal pins holding his back legs together... WTF !?

2833 dollars later.. he is all paid for.. but he still isn't home.. I am devastated..

I just can not believe that he broke both his legs.. Can't even fathom it. I want my good boy home.. and the worst part is... no matter what I do.. that just isn't possible..

Oh.. and a little more on my bad luck.. had a friend die 2 days ago.. His Parents had to pull the plug due to NO Brain Activity... So Now.. I am sick as hell.. I have a double broken leg dog.. and I have a lifetime friend's wake/funeral to attend..

FML !!

dude that's way too much shit for anyone to deal with in one day.....remember it always gets worse before it gets better and hopefully everything will be on the up and up from here forward bro....my condolences to you and the families that have been affected

oh man I feel for you. I know all about the attachment you get with dogs. And I have pits just like yours(razor edge). I remembet the pic you had of him. His is a very pretty boy. Man I just hate that, and could not think what you are going through right now. I have a 5 month old pit male right now as well. Dude Im just so sorry.

I don't know HOW it happened.. it was just so quick.. he always just jumps in the air to play.. but this time.. he just.. just.. just.. just.. LANDED wrong.. and yelped.. and cried.. and my god.. it was the most shocking moment in my life... Now mind you.. I haven't shed a tear of sadness in over 6 years... but I balled my eyes out when I had to say goodbye to him before they took him for surgery...

We just got off the phone with the recovery center and he's doing great.. everyone says he is the greatest dog they have ever seen.. so happy.. even though he just had two broken legs repaired.. and had surgery.. the nurse held the phone to his ear and Me and his momma talked to him, and he tried to get up to get us and his tail started going a mile a minute the nurse said.. then he started whining.. .. my poor dude...

I'll post up pictures from the hospital tomorrow... and when we bring him home.. he's such a good boy.. MY BAD LUCK is rubbing off on the poor lil guy !!

Now, I have to try and recoup a double broken leg pinned surgerized puppy... ugh.. What a poor lil dude.. This is my first night away from him since October 1st... I don't like.. NOPE ... Not one bit.

NOW, we have to hope and pray that the Surgeon did her job correctly so these leg breaks do not impede his growing.. I'll keep ya'll updated..

Yeah I cried too when my girl had puppies she had to have an emergancy C-section. First pup got stuck and the sack busted. luckly I got home that day early and rushed her to the vet. The vet said another hour and I would have lost her and all the pups. But she made it through and all the pups lived.

Ok here's what I am worried about.. technically I caused the injury. Maybe at his thinking because I was giving him the treat when he jumped and the injury happened, then Momma came to the rescue... he laid on her lap the whole ride to the Hospital.. wouldn't even look at me.. He used to never leave my side.. but now i believe the tables have turned ... he will wanna be strictly his momma's boy..

There is NO WAY I will be able to sleep tonight..

Aww, poor baby!! When is he coming home? My cousin has a 1 year old pitt and as adorable as he is, he is equally as dopey sometimes... I would never expect a strong ass dog like that to do such a thing, but then on the other hand, I can totally see how that could happen. Poor little man... best wishes for a fast recovery, and hope he forgives daddy!

As for being sick and your friend's passing, that certainly doesn't help the situation.

I've been having some bad days this week and this just put it all in perspective a little bit. I hope things get better for you, dude...

Thanks Steph.. yah, it just seems like one thing after the other.. NOW of course I can't train for at least 3 more days, and I haven't trained in 4 due to my flu.. so that's a whole week off from the gym.. ha.. and NEED I MENTION I had only been back to the gym 2 days since I had my surgery when a chick tripped and fell on my arm when I was in the downstretch of a dumbbell flye.. BUT.. hahaha that situation AT LEAST turned out to be a PRETTY GOOD Happy ending to it.. those who saw that thread know what i'm talking about...

So, Yes training has to take a back burner while i get things situated. THANK GOD I chose to take this year off from competing and to focus on coming into 2011 with a fully changed and prime physique.

But again..

Deuce you seem to have the same deal as me; you have all the luck, good and bad. Both sides of the coin hit you extra hard all the time. Girl falls on you = bad. She makes up for it = good. Dog hurts himself = very bad. im sure you can come up with many examples better than this. Sorry bud, but when your down your down, but NEVER out. And carry on, brother.

Damn man, I feel for ya. A couple of years ago my wife just up and left me and cleaned me out, leaving me financially destitute. Never even had an argument. A few days later my college room mate died suddenly of a pulmonary embolism, and I was involved in a serious situation at work.... very serious... I'll leave it at that. I took 2 months off work to go see a therapist. I went batshit crazy.
I'm sure the little guy will still be a daddy's boy. We all run to mommy when we are hurt.

Sucks man i hope he gets home to you soon. I know what its like to be that attached to an animal. My dog is going on 13 and has been my best friend since i was like 10 when he leaves me im gonna go mad. Sory to hear about your friend as well man things can only get so low though bro you got some good luck coming your way i know it.

BEAUTIFUL PUP!!! Holy crap, I'm jealous. I have an old and graying black lab with arthritis in her hips and knees.
