How the hell do you guys do it? Between work, school, kids, gym, etc I can't possibly imagine caring for a dog. Where the hell are you storing these things when your gone? I want to get a little pup for the kids but I'd feel guilty leaving it alone for several hours. How the hell do you people manage?

Also, are most you guys in houses with yards? I'm stuck to a townhouse without a private yard.

My Pup.. before he broke his LEGS.. went EVERYWHERE with me.. never left my side.. to the gym, work (which is at the gym) -- the store.. just he's my kid.. you don't just leave your kid alone right?? lol.. he was always taken care of.. if i couldnt be there with him (rare occasion) then i would get a dogsitter.. :D

Had mine for 13 years almost, love him like a child. When im off work im with him all day except for gym time. When i cant be home my sister lets him outside and spends some time with him. He doesnt mind staying home alone if he has too he catches up on some Z'ss lol. I dont lock him up or anything he just roams the house hes got about 4 beds in various rooms and he likes to use them all equally haha.

I've got a big back yard, and i had a big covered deck built as well so they have a place for shade. Just got the siberian husky for my lab so he'd have someone to keep him company.

got a backyard but when my dog plays its usually in the house he has as many toys as my damn nephew i swear lol. Doesnt play quite as much as he used too being 12 and all but hes still in great shape for his age. Hope he makes it many more years with me.

I have two dogs. I have a painting of a portrait of both of them over my fireplace. I would die for my Dogs. I love them..

I want a pit soooooo bad, but between work and the gym (and not having a big apartment or a yard), I can't right now... I'm gonna have to wait til I get a house with a backyard for him to run around in. It wouldnt be fair to get a dog who couldn't get exercise and would be caged up all day. Plus they need to be trained properly and if you can't be around to train them, that isn't right either...

If you have a small breed though, they can stay caged up during the day more easily. You still need time to train it (waking up before you're ready to take the dog out to pee and poop is annoying, but ya gotta do what you gotta do!) It can be done if you do your research and get a breed that can be caged during the day if nobody is home to take care of it, as long as it will be cared for at night... no doggy deserves to be caged all the time and not have any human interaction or love! :)

How is he doing by the way??

Ha had to litterally shovel my backyard for my damn dog this week lol. got like 8 more inches dumped unexptedly and he hates rain or snow. He held his pee for like 12 hours because he wouldnt get off the patio. I finally broomed and shoveled for 45 minutes got like a 40 by 40 area for him to sniff and potty. Hes 12 almost 13 so hes my little old man lol. I get up everymorning at 3am or so if the snow is still out and carry him outside and stand in the cold till he goes sometimes it takes 20 30 minutes. Wouldnt trade it for the world though.
