I saw these commercials just like you and said, "I bet these shows suck." Much to my surprise I like both of them. They each give you a mini history lesson in some ways. I see through the drama with the "chumlee" character and shop drama on pawn stars, but if you pay attention the guy running the shop knows his stuff. I love to learn period and surprisingly enough I have gotten some good info from both of these shows.
