Anyone ever buy tires online?

I found some nittos online for about 185 shipped a pair and they are like 300 to buy locally. I went to a couple shops around and the cheapest 215 45 17s they have are like 135. I used tirerack.com in the past and they got my tires here in one day because of where they are located. Any recommendations?

How the hell are you supposed to get them on your car? Holy shit I hate working on cars but I can only imagine the proceess of removing a tire from a rim and then replacing it. I know the pros use a special machine for that shit. Unless your driving a model-T or the chitty chitty bang bang car, I don't get how your going to get them on?

Tirerack.com ive bought from them twice they are great. MOst of the time the cost between buying shipping and then getting installed for 100 bucks or so you still save a bit from buying locally. By the way what model nittos are they? Dont buy the 555's they are absolutely unsafe in wet conditions.

I've bought from TireRack before. Great prices, good customer service. I say go for it. You should be able to have them put on for $80 or less at a local tire shop.

If you can get them cheaper online, go for it! I had 4 new tires put on last month... Its sooooo expensive! Save where ya can and just pay the labor fees... Totally worth it!

I have someone who will mount and balance them for 8 bucks a piece. A friends uncle own's a tire shop. There is no way on earth I would try getting low profiles on. I don't remember the model swole but that wasn't it. In Louisiana you have to have good all weather tires or you die. Well come to think of it, this year hasn't been that bad.

haha thats the way it is here. 8 bucks a piece balanced and mounted is amazing price man. I would for sure go online then. I run higher performance summer tires all year lol, i can barely grip in the rain. Thank god i have another source of transportation for winter.

Winter here is usually around 45 degrees on average. It has been exceptionally cold for a long time this year. There was some sleet this morning.

I wish it were that way here. I get tired of fucking heat waves

I have ordered from both discounttiredirect.com and tirerack.com

Good experience both times.
