Financial troubles.... who's having them??

I have always been very successful and never had to worry about money. My divorce changed all of that. Now I'm nearly paycheck to paycheck and me ex wife's shit is smothering me... credit cards are about 12K, 8K in student loans and now IRS shit that was filed on a joint return but they are coming after me!!! I really don't want to and have been advised by friends not to, buy I think Bankruptcy might be my only way out. All I do is eat, sleep, work and bodybuild and I still can't pay my bills!! I work 50+ hours a week or more!! A couple hundred a month is all I need, but I see no other alternative....
I have nothing that I can cut out. Bodybuilding keeps me sane. I own nothing and have no real assets to speak of.

What gets me is I pay income tax, property tax, car insurance, health insurance, additional money for death benefits, disabilty insurance, tolls, sales tax...... it keeps going on!! Yet Even though I'm the one paying I have no say in how its spent or how I'm treated when it comes time to use it. I'm sorry but fuck those other countries. Bring our troops back. If a company wants to outsource they can get the fuck out!! If other countreies want to sell their products here there can pay a heavy tax. This is not the gov'ts money..... its my fucking money!! Why the fuck do we have an FDA?? They haven't prevented shit!! They are fucking criminals. Don't fucking tell me what I can and can't take!! I pay you!!

Bro I feel ya.. I may have a shitload of Firearms.. but i am in NO WAY Rich anymore... I have a budget, and I am feeling the crunch.. yah I don't work... I live off my Bank account.. but trust me.. it in NO WAY reads what it used to and I have even resorted to selling some of my Fully Auto's.. (fetch like 12-20g's a piece..)

But life is NOT what it was 4 years ago when I had a Million to spend.. all done and almost dried up now.. (OH and I don't recommend getting creamed by a Chevy 2500HD whilst on Gsxr-1000.. THE Odds are you might not survive like I did.. )

I filed 10 years ago this february and have just gotten my credit back to the 700 range. My sister is part of the problem as she was in my house and was suppose to be paying the note and didn't for 4 months. I am struggling a little myself. I am a full time student at 35, working on my master's, do motivational speaking which is around 30k a year, and am about to start subbing at the high school to help out. My wife had a great job but was dying with stress so we agreed we would try something else. We make together what she was making alone and health insurance is killing me. My two kids playing sports right now is an issue. My little girl is naturally talented in gymnastics (was doing self taught cart wheels and round offs at four)and we simply can't afford the dues and my son wants to play baseball but it really depends on how taxes go.

bro, this happened to me last year...was horrible. foreclosure, one of my cars repoed, all the credit card debt that she ran up., had pneumonia 2 times in the samee year, couldn't lift..sucks,but bouncin back and back in the gym...gym is deff the only thing that keeps me sane...

I feel your guys pain for sure...I went through it all too and went from a $350k income to maybe $60K income. I luckily sold my house but lost 2 cars to the bank, my credit is basically shot, and in all honesty it doesnt bother me anymore...

I feel bad for those people who are still trying to "hold on" to everything and prolonging the inevitable. Im glad my losses came toward the end of 2008 and the early part of 2009, now at the begining of 2010 I have started over where others are still loosing it. I have come to the realization that until everyone has been affected by the economy things will remain shitty.

I took the material things that are truly important to me, my wife, my kids, and started over and life is so much more stress free then it was before. If you look hard enough "the good life" is still there, at a cheaper price... I currently pay rent, but in my lease I have an option to buy my house which the owner is willing to finance the house to me if I decide to buy it, its a brand new house that Im the only occupant ever to live here. I drive a 2003 SUV thats paid for, its not the 2008 or the 2005 I lost to the bank but not paying 3 months of payments on the 2 vehicles, I was able to pay cash for the one I really needed. My blessing was everything lost was in my name only, so what little credit we use comes from my wife...

Dont let shit get you down, there is tons of hope and the "doom and gloom" attitude will keep you down...be optimistic and go out there and get whats yours!

Bankruptcy is their for a purpose, to start fresh again. IF YOU HAVE TO DO IT, do it sooner than later. Bush had it restructured so most people can not have all their debt wiped out but it does get greatly reduced. Do not go on a buying spree before filing it like some people do. However the sooner you file the sooner you begin to re-establish you credit. Tough times are upon us all. This is where the statement save money for a rainy day, because the rainy day is here. Find a good Bankruptcy Lawyer, and negotiate the price with him/her. Whats good about this recession is everything is negotiable.

That's a good point. I am postponing the inevitable. I can't do this anymore. I'm sick of feeling like I'm under somebody's thumb. I called a friend that is a bankruptcy atty and although I know he will try to talk me out of it, this is what I'm going to do. I'm not going to live like this for 10 years. My credit has already taken a hit. Once the IRS amounts are worked out I will offer them a much lower one time payment out of my 403B. This just needs to be over. I should've done it right after the divorce. I guess I'm going to have to start claiming zero as 1 makes me still owe..... I guess I really don't exist. Fucking shitbags

it's funny because when you watch shows like American Greed it shows all these guys pulling these scams and getting in trouble-but when wall street or a big bank does it they get bailed out

their fucking greed has cost us our houses and jobs but our tax dollars are going to save their asses:dizzy:

and the worst part about it is that they get a big bonus as a reward for fucking up:thumbsup:

Great point and I love watching that show...

Its my opinion that the reason we arent seeing tons of people being prosectued is there is just too many people to involved, in too many sectors of the financial world...mortgage, insurance, finance, investments, and so on... Not to mention we are still financing a war in the middle east..

Im totally not political, I dont get involved in the political realm because I think politics are worse then boy touching preachers and sleezy used car salesmen.

As a common man living in the USA, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that continuing the war is killing us, the bailouts are killing us, the empty promises are killing us...

Funny story...my 08 Duramax was financed through GMAC and when I missed my first payment obviously they called me harassing me about the payment...I asked them "Where the fuck is my bailout?" Im in the car business too!...missed another payment and they called, told them the same thing, missed the third payment and told them again...I voluntarily turned in the truck after missing the third payment and when I turned it in to the chevy dealer I asked them, "where's my bailout"...

In the end, Im glad i got rid of all those heavy monthly expenses...bankruptcy is in my future too and going BK isnt like it used to be....a month later you get credit cards and shit again....game over, return to "go" and start again...

Oh I forgot to mention out of that 100 million dollars in bonuses AIG just gave out they were nice enough to give back a whopping 20 millions dollars of that 100 million, but only after congress got involved, and still i think its a slap ion the face for them to give back just 20 million dollars, that still leaves 80 million dollars in bonuses they gave out from our tax dollars that we bailed them out with, its a big FUCK YOU to the little people

and dont get me started on John Edwards using over a million dollars of campaign money to hide his mistress and his baby he had with her, he had his mistress flying all over the country with him and putting her up in mansions he rented out on the campaign trail, what a fucking scumbag

But GOD forbid we dont claim every fucking penny we earn, otherwise the IRS will bend you over and fuck you in the ass , take ur house, levy your bank accounts ....I'm trying to scrounge up 6-7k$ i need to send these pricks before April 15th because i had to live off of every penny i made last year and couldnt afford to put aside my tax money! this Country is getting worse under the Obama administration, white, black, chinese, red blue i dont give a fuck who is in office i just want someone who will actualy stick to his campaign promises, like no more lobbyist in the white house,lol, that didnt last long at all did it! NO! The white house is still for sale!

Don't forget about Nacy Pelosi spending hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on "in flight services" (food and alcohol) during her flights on Air Force jets, and over $2.1million on Air Force jet services all together, which she also used like she thought they were her personal taxis. :curse:
