I have decided against buying anyone Valentines presents except my daughter this year. I have someone I am interested in at work, but I usually go the nice guy route everytime and it fails miserably, so this year I'm doing things a little different, at least if it fails, i will have saved a ton of cash
Like Vince Vaughan in lamens terms said in the movie "dodgeball", I dont set any goals for myself, that way when I fail I dont feel disappointed in any way!! Thats my new dating quota

I don't get the whole V-Day thing. I don't think it's a big deal and that gifts need to be exchanged, etc. I prefer to do random stuff throughout the year...
To answer your question though winneevee, get her something that shows you know her. It doesn't need to be expensive or crazy, but just demonstrates that you pay attention. You'll get lots of points for that!
The first year we were together, Jon gave me a little brown box with stuff handwritten all over it and when I opened it up, it was a skull figurine and a skull candle thingie. Instead of bubblewrap or peanuts, the gifts were "packaged" in TOOTSIE ROLLS! I was definitely a happy little girl... so simple, no fluff - just perfect!

as for me I bought the wife a big white Gorrila stuffed animal, a box of chocolates (honey pecan carmel) yum yum, and Her favorite perfume D&G Light Blue , and I got Bupkis ,lol.

Well I got a surprise stuffed dino on my car last week with his cologne sprayed on him, then on V-day I got diamond earrings. I didn't get him anything... just paid for a dinner (mmm... portuguese!!)

Haha, he claims they're real but even if they weren't, it wouldn't bother me. I don't care about stuff like that.
