I wear hoodies to the gym alot because i love to sweat and be hot as shit makes me workout more intense. I wipe the sweat from my brow sometimes with the sleave and lately a few of them after they get wet have the soured smell to them. I wash them immediatly after getting home. Its weird because they smell great out of the laundry and until close to the end of the workout when my arms are drenched and its soaking through it starts to get that soured smell. Any ideas to get this smell out? Im probably just gonna buy some more but would be nice to be able to keep them since their like 25 bucks a piece.

Man I dont sweat that much. Heck even when I was in the Army we would run like 6-7 miles during PT and I would just start to break a sweat. Most of the other guys were drenched.

Are you taking a thermogenic or Clen to get you to sweat that much or is it just a natural thing. I know some guys just sweat.

i take caffeine before the gym but this is just a normal thing lol. at work most of the plants i work in are about 45 to 50 in the winter and i get drenched during the day lol. I just sweat quite a bit, most of the time i hate it but in the gym i dont mind it and being hot actually makes me lift harder. If im cool and not sweating then i dont feel like im doing anything.

I got a buddy that i can put through a crazy workout and he wont even bead up on his forehead lol, everyone is certainly different im envious of it at times.

I'd wash them with hot water. My hunting clothes use to do the same thing until I wash them on hot. And I get my hoodies at walmart for $10.

Yeah i normally buy cheapies too but i got most of them for gifts bday or christmas and they are nice champion's or nike's.

white vinegar. pour a cup of vinegar into your washer with your detergent and it knocks it out. thats what i do if my towels sit out too long and start to sour. Hope this helps

Wouldn't that make your clothes smell like a salad? I normally wash in warm and use fabric softener in the wash AND in the dryer.

only concentrated vineger would smell. a little in the wash wont override the detergent smell. another vinegar trick is mixing some with water when you wash your car. prevents water spots from hard water....which is the only water we got here

HIJACK TIME:

why in the hell do my white shirts turn yellow under the armpits? Am I a mutant or what the fuck? Nothing, not bleach, oxyclean, zout, or even pin-sol will get that shit out. What the hell is it? And it never stops stinking no matter how many times you wash it! I've doused it with every chemical in my house. Next step: paint thinner (I'm not kidding!) Seriously, anyone have any answers? I want answers!

i cant give you an answer....only a fix.

this is what I do.....buy dark colored undershirts.

^^ haha naww he quit that after he singed his ballsack off. Now he is doing the lazer thing. I did the vinegar thing but this weekend are off days so ill report back on monday if it worked or not. Im hoping so. I even presoaked that bitch in vinegar lol. Smells like normal hopefully its all gone.

Lol, I remember that. I have a few shirts that have that sour smell, too. I'll try the vinegar thing myself if it works for you. I understand Nair's frustration, too, because my white pillowcases get stained the same way from me sweating at night since I don't have a full head of hair to soak up the sweat. I think it's from a reaction in chemicals in the sweat since wastes come out in your sweat.

well i wore it in the gym monday and it worked pretty well no smell yet. Well see how long it lasts lol ill just keep doing it worked great thanks for the tip sonoma. I poured some on the actual area that stunk then a little bit more in the washer and it worked great.

The chemists need to start doing some work--someone needs to invent a product that cures this. I think they would make a fortune!

In the meantime, I'll try this vinegar thing (What's vinegar again)

A small(ish) percentage of the population sweats out chemicals that when mixed with underarm deodorant creates a fucking stain that never dissapears.
Did a lil search real quick cause ive had this problem for over 12 years.
Im gonna post a link or 2, hope its okay; mods, if its not then take appropriate action.

I think one of these actually work, I remember trying the peroxide one a long time ago and it worked well but honestly its too much work for me to try with every damn white shirt I own.
This is a link to the info behind the deodorant and coloration shit:
