Honestly I hate the Olympics and there retarded mentality!

I hate the Olympics for many reasons partly because they are meant to raise nationalism in the populace, a way to "divide and conquer" the masses. Partly because the medals many times are separated by points of a second or centimeters. This means if someone farted they would win and I am sure if the competition would be redone even an hour later the results would be different. Another reason that the country who hosts the Olympics tends to judge, accommodate the athletes etc to favor the home team or sister nations.

The idea that a Olympic competitor from one nation migrated to a different nation and now are representing them is laughable. Basically the richer nations buy up athletes that could be a challenge. Of course the most retarded is the idea of not "cheating." Man has always tried to have an edge in competition from eating goats testicles to sleeping in special air tight chambers which simulate high altitude. How can you make something fair that is designed to be unfair? If someone really wants to make the Olympics fair they should raise a clone army from the same genetics with identical environmental factors and let the clones battle it out, even then it wouldn't be totally "fair." The only reason people are constantly breaking records is because of science; be it pharmaceuticals, equipment or special training the athletes always do something to get an edge. This business with fair playing field is at the least naive and at most deviantly deceptive.

Olympics first of all is a political tool and a business nothing more. Thats why I despise people who cheer for a competitor just because he represents the country, don't they get that the wealthiest nation buys up athletes, coaches, training facilities and staff. The nations have equal amount of competitors which is not proportional to their population ration. How can china have the same amount of athletes as Finland for example. I think when a couple of milliseconds separate the medals its not a competition its a joke because the human body can only swim, skate, run so fast and so far. People get all worked up about shit like that, please all the athletes with the medals are on the same level and should deserve equal amount of respect.

I think the worst thing about Olympics and sports in America in general is the nonsense of stripping away medals or taking away records. That really pisses me off, it goes with everything I said before. Drugs or not they are the best of the best! The fuckheads who make this decision think that any Joe Cunningham pops a pill and boom you got superman?! The way the media tries to play the us vs them angel is disgusting. This, however, is in our nature and they pray on it. Then they wounder why people have xenophobia.

i agree with you in certain aspects.
I dont believe that athletes are so much better than they were years ago...physically. I think technology is the biggest factor in breaking records.

Take sprinting for example.....and starting blocks. How in the hell is that a real life representation of sprinting? Starting blocks along are a HUGE advantage. I know that all competitors get to use them, but how does that simulate real life athletic performance unskewed? Whats next? Starting them at the line on a treadmill already moving at 10mph and then jump off and run the track? Theres a second off the clock right there.

Its just like anything else nothing has really changed that much. Startiing blocks have been there for years. The records they are going against are against starting blocks too. Simulating real life performance, running 27 mph is about as simulated of performance as you should need.

Love the olympics minus figure skating.

I hate the Olympics as well. It is a festival of bullshit propaganda that epitomizes the fucked up way our society is headed. We are human. Everything evolves, progresses, and changes. To limit one thing and not another is just bullshit. We are a product of evolution that doesn't respect our evolution. It is survival of the fittest. You use the tools you have!! Its a free for all!! If you want to use performance enhancing drugs then do it. If you want to smoke crack then do it. Why should I be working and paying for the lifestyles and longevity of the drug addicts, drunk bums, and drug dealers getting section 8 housing and food stamps??! Back on topic. The best and strongest survive and contribute to the gene pool. Technology is evolution. Where would we be if some jackass told cavemen that fire was prohibited??!! No spears!! No wheels!! Make you too fast!!

Man some of you guys are bitter. I know it's the Olympics, but it's still just sports. It's not survival of the fittest, it just sports. Sports have rules. And the richest countries don't always ''buy up'' the best athletes. There are several basketball players in the NBA who played for the home countries in the last Summer Olympics.

"Just sports" are the reason that steroids are just Felony drugs..... the reason our government spends hundreds of millions of dollars hunting steroid users and sellers. Then again..... its just our money that is being spent on it. The Olympics is another way government determines what is socially acceptable. If you are fine with that then enjoy ours of "curling" and "figure skating".

So wait, are you saying that the only reason steroids are felony drugs is because of sports? So if sports were nonexistant, you think steroids would be legal? I think there's more to it than that bro.

And I'm sorry, but I just don't see how the Olympics are some huge ploy to program the public with socially acceptable behavior. Seems like a bit of a stretch to me. Just my opinion though.

No I don't think sports are the primary reason steroids are illegal. I believe that they are a venue for the government to paste anti steroid propaganda.... well one of the many. The Olympics are a huge multi national stage in which the US uses along with MLB and the NFL fore their socialist goals. I'm sorry I'm just on a rant. It really eats me up that so many law abiding, tax paying, patriotic citizens that serve this country are only a couple of mg's away from being Felons..... the worst title a citizen can be branded with and keep their lives. The older I get the angrier I get at the world. Please forgive my occasional angry rant.
