Workout length and rest between sets.

Around how long do you do each of your workouts , and do you keep track of rest between sets normally.

Since ive started back I just take my time do a full set , rest for an unset time and do another full set.

No time tracking here..... I dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing since I dont do that many exercises but I do 5,5,5,25 for each exercise.
 
It all depends on what day it is, and what happened throughout the day. Some days it's bang bang bang, and some days there's a solid 3 minutes in between sets.
 
Im with Leather on this one kinda depends on the day, last week i timed my workouts well just looked at the clock going in and going out and weight training i averaged about 55 minutes give or take. Rest between sets id say probably a minute to minute and a half.

it really is different for me.... i workout at nightime, so by the time the workout comes im already 5 meals deep with plenty of energy

mon, tues, wens, thrus, i usually am in the gym for about 2-2 1/2 hours. i always do giant sets, high reps, with drop sets, especially close to contest time. but my rest periods are usually long in between sets due to the amount of reps and exercises i do for each bodypart.

weekends its 45min to an hr, they are my touch up days: calfs, rear delts, etc....


i used to lift with my reps being somewhere around the range of 15,12,10,8,5... now its different

im currently working up then down... 20,15,12,12,15,20

I prefer working out late at night too, let all the fucking socializers clear out and stop taking up time and space on valuable equipment. Workout 2 hours with 2 min between sets and maybe a little more time between exercises to get a drink take a piss whatever. 8 reps when im going heavy up to 15 when im leaning out and drop sets on all my finishing exercizes to get muscles loaded with blood and completely blasted before I leave.
 
I'm there anywhere from 1.5-3 hours, depending on if cardio is going to be done, if I'm tanning, or how long I stay at the "bar" drinking my shake and bullshitting with my girls behind the counter.
 
I lift for 45-60 min usually. If one of my figure friends is there, sometimes I get caught up talking for a bit when I first get there or in between sets. Otherwise if I'm alone, I'm in serious "don't bother me mode" and do 3-4 sets per exercise (about 7-9 depending on my energy, the day, how much time I have to spend, etc). If I have to do cardio, then I can be in the gym anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours.
 
i avg. 2 to 3 min between heavy sets on compound lifts. about 1min on higher rep isolation lifts.
 
I always time my rest but it varies between 60,75,90 seconds depending on what Im doing and obviously the reps will vary.
 
I keep things going as much as I can't but my body tells me how long. Usually 20-30 secs for small muscles, 30-50 for large muscles. And if on tren I usually take a little longer.
 
between 50 secs and 2-3 mins if im on my own then its about 1min, but if im working with my mate its about 2-3 as bullshit talk and banter play a role...as well as i go heavy heavy and drop set with him so need the rest
