UFC 112 - Abu Dhabi Premiere!

I really want to see this, but not sure if my schedule this Saturday will allow... debating on if I should spend the $45 or not.

I know it's a longshot, but I'm on Maia's side for this one. Also, I'll be cheering for Jersey dude Frankie Edgar but taking on BJ Penn is gonna be a real challenge. I don't know if he is ready to handle the champ, but it should be interesting! I don't care about Hughes, even if he is fighting a Gracie...

UFC 112 takes place April 10 at Concert Arena (at the Ferrari World theme park on Yas Island) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The night's main card airs live (1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT) and via delay (10 p.m. ET) on pay-per-view.

Replays of "Countdown to UFC 112" also air Friday (11 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV) and Saturday (midnight ET/PT on MTV 3 and 1 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV).

The preview show is expected to focus on the night's star-studded triple-header, which includes two title fights. In the main event, UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva takes on late replacement Demian Maia (who filled in for injured Vitor Belfort), and lightweight title-holder B.J. Penn takes on top contender Frankie Edgar.

Additionally, MMA legend and UFC newcomer Renzo Gracie, who helped grappling and MMA become an obsession in the UAE, takes on former welterweight champ Matt Hughes.

While the fight card for the event is nearly complete, the UFC has not officially announced a long-rumored heavyweight bout between Jon Madsen and Mostapha Al Turk. However, a source close to the fighter recently told MMAjunkie.com that Madsen recently left for Abu Dhabi, so the fight still is expected to take place at next weekend's show.

The full card includes:

I know... I missed it, but heard all about the bs. 113 and 114 should be better. I'm not crazy about the card for 115... I just wanna see the Liddell/Franklin fight.
