What's the hardest part for you?

What is the hardest thing to do/not do even though you know to do/not to do it?

For me, there are two things. I have a hard time keeping myself from overtraining. I enjoy being in the gym and am the type of person to keep pushing myself past the point of being reasonable. It's hard to tell myself, OK, you've busted your butt, time to go home.

The other is judging my workouts by soreness. I know that soreness isn't always a good indicator of how intense your workouts are, but if I wake up and I'm not that sore, I still feel like I should've trained harder.

Do you guys have any areas like this?

Wearing condoms, and not going out on a regular basis.... Oh workout related

I agree with your two for me as well. I have a hard time calling it quits as well. Even when on gear i have been known to overtrain way too much. Especially when dieting.
I have to workout for like 3 hours to get certain bodyparts sore so i know i cant go by soreness anymore lol. I would have to do around 40 sets to make my biceps really sore the next day.
Another big problem of mine is taking breaks. Its a great thing to take a week or a few days off here and there after youve been hitting it religiously for a while. I feel like im shrinking the first day im out of the gym even on the weekends so its next to impossible for me to not go for a week unless i cant get out of bed or am out of town.

I'd have to say, being consisitent with my training off season. I'll bust my ass for two weeks and then get lazy the next.

I hear you on taking breaks too. When I don't go to the gym I feel so fat and lazy. It's crazy actually, all it takes is one day out of the gym and I already feel like a lard butt. And the first day back in the gym I immediately feel better. Crazy, lol.

Which part? Eating enough or eating clean?
Both! I often get so caught up with what I'm doing, that I'll go 5 or 6 hours without eating. Or when I'm pounding food all day, I'll be doing good with eating clean, but then my sweet tooth kicks in something fierce, and I get downright fuckin mean if I don't get some ice cream or a cookie or something. My whole diet is an issue. I'm getting my 1.5-2grams of protein per lb of bodyweight 4 out of 7 days.

I hear you man. I started working as a technician and some days I get cars where people are waiting and I can't go sit down and eat like I want to. It sucks. Those days I usually don't eat as clean either, but I figure if I eat less eating a little less clean makes up for it from the extra calories....maybe not, but it sounds good in my head. haha.

I keep packets of oatmeal and a jar of pretzels in my toolbox to snack on too, which helps.

I think I'm going to buy some BCAA's. I think maybe they will help since sometimes it's harder to eat like I want to.
I need to do that, as well. I've also had a case of the crud lately, and my appetite has been crappy. I've had to force myself to eat these last few days. Thankfully, I'm starting to feel better.

id say changing the workout routine

im a creature of habit, so when it comes time for me to switch things up its seems to be the hardest for me

as well as cardio of course lol

One thing that actually helped my appetite was probiotics. It may sound strange but I think taking those to keep a healthy digestive system increased my appetite. Somtehing to consider.

I have trouble making myself do cardio too, so my solution is just don't do it, lol. I try to keep my training pace up to be enough cardio for me. Plus I'm on my feet and physically active all day at work and I do active stuff on the weekends so that counts for something.

Diet. My diet is the weak link in my regimen.

Same for me. I'm slowly starting to change that. I am determined to get at least 10 lbs by the end of summer.

I've been doing pretty good today, but the sweet tooth got me and I had to eat a HO-HO. That soothed the savage beast.

A fuckin ho ho?? Are you serious?? The sight of that shit makes me sick. My issue is forcing myself to only train 3 days a week (that's all I can take) and not being a cocky ass and lifting too heavy when I feel strong.

Fuck yea, bro... chocolate cake owns me. It's my Achilles Heel! If I don't get it, I get very mean.

Weird. If I eat more than a bite of that shit, I get violently ill. Even the sight of it sickens me. I can't even eat detour bars or the ones with real chocolate on them. I do like pizza though!

Too much sugar makes me feel crappy too. Now salty carbs, that's a different story.
