IFBB Women's Head Judge Sandy Willamson Talks Bikini

I'm glad the criteria is finally coming together and I think it's good to finally have a standard to look towards, however I cringed every time she said the word "soft". I really wish the NPC/IFBB bikini division was along the lines of Fitness America. It's making the NPC/IFBB sound like they don't want fit females, even though I know that isn't the case. I'm not busting my ass to look "soft". I'm just not as hard as a figure girl, but I wish there was another term they would use to describe it, so not to confuse people..

What word would you substitute for "soft"?

Thanks, Press!

Umm, I think there should still be a degree of leanness... just not to the same degree as figure or fitness, that's all. I hate the word "toned", but that's a better way to describe it I guess.

"Soft" just makes me think of jiggly. It doesn't say "I train and I train hard!"

I DO train hard. I train almost every friggin' day. I diet hard. I work my ass off! I don't work my ass off to look "soft". I know that isn't exactly how they mean it, but I still take offense to that word because it's everything I'm trying so hard not to be. Damn, genetics holding me back... I want to be lean and hard!
