Biceps - shooting pain in forearms

Every time Im doing bies especially with a bar when I let go of the bar I get a shooting pain in the forearms along my bone.. I've been training for years and I have always trained through it but to night i thought I might actually ask someone why the he'll this happens and if it happens to everyone else

Bicept work

I also have that problem, and the older I get the worse the pain is. I beleive its the tendons. Perhaps some tendinitis. The easy curl bar is a bit easier on them, then straight bar.

probably tendonitis. I had a similar pain for months. I finally got an MRI done, and it was tendonitis. One of the tendons was chaffing over bone, and was causing it to become very irritated. IGF helped

What causes that, heavy lifting/gripping? Trying to hold on to lots of weight all the time?

Heavy lifting and the way you grip. I had that problem for a couple of weeks and changed my grip/weight. It went away.

I stopped doing straight bar curls for a while and started doing it with an easy bar. The way my wrist was positioned made all the difference in the world. Couldn't tell you what the problem was but it hurt like hell. Haven't had a problem since.

the ezbar uses a natural hand position. the straight bar does not. i only use ezbar and dumbbells.

i hear from everyone with big bi's, straight bar is the way to go. Maybe because its almost like a supinating action. But yeah, that grip bothers my wrist's too

I used to get that too. Feels like the bone is gonna break! Especially on preachers. I switched training style for a while, gave curls a break and it went away. I dont miss that pain it at all! Work on streaching our the underside of the forearms by bending your fingers back. I'll stand over a bench or chair, reach back between your legs, palms down fingers pointing back. The sit on the back of your hands and lean back gently. Gives them a good pull.

When I had those pains, before I found IGF, I'd have my chiro actually adjust my elbows, too. He said that doing supported curling exercises could be causing it, as well as supinating during db curls. Stopped preachers for a while and started concentrations, and it was better than before, but not perfect. But once I got IGF, it went away and has never come back, no matter what exercises I do.

ive noticed the straight bar hits forearms too much, causing less bicep stimulation. as for guys with big pipes recommending them...well if i only took their advice i'd be injured all the time.
