Rep Power?

How does this feature work? I notice that pretty much everybody's is only 1 green dot, but Presser has like 12 green dots, lol. If you mouse over them is says "Presser elite member status", lol.

Is this just to give people feedback when they post something helpful? Do the green dots and rep power number have anything to do with each other?
 
Pretty much bro if they help you out or make a good post give them some reputation points. I dont know about the green bar im sure it moves as you get higher.
 
Well, Presser's rep power is only "10" but he has 12 green bars, and then you also have 12 green bars but your rep power is almost 24,000. I don't get it.
 
bodybuilding.com is all about "rep power". People dont respond to your threads if you dont have at least 20 green bars. Thats why I love this site. Everyone is so helpful and never once have I gotten the infamous "use the search button" response to any of my posts. Fuck all those 16 year olds who weigh a buck 20 on bb.com. MC is the real deal!

I don't think that's going to change bro. Rep power or not, the people here are good guys/girls and willing to help. That's not going anywhere just because we have green dots now :thumbsup:

I used to be an admin on many of these VB boards in the past and I can tell you the Rep feature was one of the most complained about,argued about feature.. Some people took it way too series and would actually get upset by it.. most of the time we just turned off. Long story short, use it for what it is, doesn't mean because you have low rep you don't know your shit or your a douche or anything.. haha so i agree with crg914.. Green dots wont change anything.
 
i think we had this feature before. i think it pretty meaningless on this board. 24000 for swole? that cant be right.
 
Lol, I'm not sure how this gets calculated for the MC reps because the reputation link isn't there (at least for me) on the MC reps. The funny thing is that I have a link for myself, and it tells me that I have 10000 though only a 10 shows up.
