help with weight loss after baby

Hello, this is hughmungus's wife...got my own alias now:) Anyway, I had a baby in July 01 and had put on weight before I got pregnant. Needless to say I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight but want to loose the extra weight that I gained before the baby (about 40 lbs. gained slowly over a 2 year period when I got comfortable in my relationship and started back to college etc.)

Anyway, I have some american anavar 2.5mg that I have been taking between 5-10mg per day (not consistently) and been doing cardio on and off during that time for 30 min at a time. I don't know how much weight I have lost but I can see a difference in my body. Consistency is hard because I have a 9 mo old baby...and work full time as an asst. mgr. at a luxury apt. community (stressed out daily from work). I know that is not an excuse but discipline is not my forte'.

I have muscle from when I was consistently working out a couple of years back when I worked at a gym. At that time I was 5'6" 135 lbs. and about 12-14% bf. but I am pretty large boned (German girl).

Considering my schedule with work (m-f 8:30-5:30 ) and my baby should I just stick with cardio @ 60 min 2 times a day  (1 hr @ lunch and 1 hr after work) along with the anavar @ 10 mg per day and ripped fuel until I drop the bf then add my weight training? Also for a low carb high protein diet can you give me some more ideas about meals besides eggs, grilled chicken, and turkey.

Also I am going on a cruise to Cozumel and Calica/Cancun on May 6th and would like to drop as much bf as possible before this time. I have easy access to almost any a.s. and supplements I may need.

Thanks!

you have a busy schedule .. definetly have your hands full...

youhave 2 hours in the day that you are spending on cardio..
what if you trade that last hour for a weight workout.. do you have a membership to a gym.. or can you do weights at your home this way the baby close by and you can still monitor he/she.. if you can add a weight work out to up some of your muscle mass (doesn't mean get huge) it will help melt some of that fat off naturally..
you can do a full body workout at home with the elastic bands or light weights...

the aas you are taking now are fine. you really do not need to add more... you may like clen because of the fat burning properties and muscle gain from it (not dramatic muscle gains note)  but any more then that is not necessary ..

when you are doing your cardio .. what is the intensity of it.. how high are you raising your heartrate... that maybe be a contributor tooo..

I do the LifeFitness thing, kinda like precor, and sometimes the bike at 24 hour fitness. Don't like working out at home because I am used to the gym, worked at Bally's and 24 Hour Fitness for a year. My heartrate gets up to about 160 at times but I try and keep it at 130 because that is what the machine says is my target heart rate for fat burning.

I have not yet tried the 2 hour a day thing...the most cardio I have done at one time is 1 hour, but a girlfriend of mine who has done a couple of contests told me to do the 2 hours of cardio only because I still have the muscle. But I just wanted to see if anyone else thought that was a good idea.

In December I started working out very consistently for a month with no a.s. and my routine was after work 30 min cardio before each workout and as often as possible 60 min cardio on off days.

5 day split-
1. chest
2. back
3. arms
4. shoulders and calfs
5. legs
Diet was pretty good but of course could have been better and I dropped about 10 lbs in that month. But, then I slowed down...got promotion and stress with work increased.

You don't think that I should just do the cardio until I drop some of the fat and then implement my weight training? Say in about 2 months...? Especially since I am going on a cruise in 1 month

well i suggest use your husband sexually as a human cardio machine , sex can burn a lot of calories if you choose to do it often :)

IMHO, I would not leave out the weight training.  The more muslce you put on, the more efficiently your body will burn fat.  The muscle will help boost your metabolism and that is what you need to loose weight.  Alot of women tend to have the misconception that if they lift weights they will become big and bulky and that is just not true...it's pretty hard for us to do that    :)

So, if you could try and incorporate weights along with the cardio.

Okay, I really miss lifting anyway. Everytime I'm in the gym doing cardio I am wishing I was lifting. I am not worried about increasing lean muscle mass, I invite that. I am by no means afraid of looking like a andrulla (shes pretty big), but I'd rather look like that than like Gwyneth Paltrow or Ally McBeal. I just really need to loose the body fat. So if the best way is to do both thats what I'll do.
BTW I have lost about 5-7lbs since 1st post:)
Tanning and doing my cardio is making me feel much better about myself already. I am excited about lifting again, but I think I'll start out slow. Instead of the 2 hour workouts I'll probably do 30-45 min cardio and 30-45 min of weight training.
Just 3 weeks until the cruise:) I can't wait.

You lost another 5-7lbs??  That is great!!  Keep up the good work :)  30-45mins of each cardio and weights sounds good.  Boy, that trip is creeping around the corner!!!

Okay, I had to quit the anavar...I got too mean. Maybe I can't handle to hormone imbalance...I couldn't take the Depo-Provera shot either for the same reason. I didn't work out or tan for a week, I got that sinus infection that everyone here in Houston is getting/has gotten and it really sucked. But I started back today and of course I didn't eat alot while I was sick so I didn't gain any weight back.
Now I'm just doing 30-45 min of cardio on lunch break and tanning then after work weight training until MONDAY!!! Also taking ripped fuel and watching my diet...
I don't know what I am going to do without my son for a whole week almost...I have never been away from him for more than 1 night...:(
Anyone have kids and have some advice for what I need to do before leaving him with my mom for a week???
