Major Depression

I have major depression have had it my entire life , never done anything about it but just tried to fight it with my imagination and its made it bareable but it just feels like my imagination is dying off. Im tired of fighting it and as for depression medication im somewhat against it.

IGF ... ive seen the talk of elevated mood from being on IGF and ive always wanting to try it , so maybe the mood will be something I can benefit with it.

How much would it cost me per month to stay on IGF constantly and never go off.. what would be a healthy dosage to take nonstop.

Two things come to mind. First, when I was on IGF I didn't notice any change in my mood so take that for what it's worth.

Second, I don't think staying on IGF permanently is a viable solution to depression. That is not what it's meant for. If it's as serious as you say it is you need a medication designed for depression, not something like IGF.

Just my $.02.

Hey man, my $.02 on this, is there is no shame or nothing to be against as far as meds for depression goes. Typically what it is, is your body just doesn't produce enough of the "feel good" hormones etc.. Just like Type-I Diabetics have to take insulin to make up for their body not producing enough insulin or people who have to take Thyroid medication to help their Thyroid function, depression medication simply helps your body get where it should be. I applaud you for going so long and being so strong. I have buddies in the same situation that came to a point where they needed to make some changes so they tried the meds and honestly according to them they have never felt better and they wish they wouldn't of waited so long.

I was taking Zoloft for about 8 years for social anxiety, not depression but it is used to threat depression as well. I do not know how severe yours is but I can tell you. Taking Zoloft was not that big of a deal and it helped tremendously to the point where I was able to get off of it a year ago and have felt great with no medication. Between that period of 8 years I was taking xanax and tried Ativan but the everyday pill was 50mg a day of Zoloft.. It's possible if you get it treated you can eventually come off of it and have no depression. If you have good insurance the medication is cheap. I think I only paid 10 bucks for 90 days worth of Zoloft.. Get that shit treated bro, there is no shame in it and you will feel 100x's better.

I just started smokind bud, and that works well for me. Some people say it "masks" it, but i have not experienced that. I would rather smoke, then be on some xanax, valium, paxil, temazepam, and who knows what else..... ALL habit forming of course. Marijuana has proven itself to be a versatile drug to say the least. Also great for bulking!

I cant ride a total of 3 hours to and from work , work with drug testing while smoking pot.... Even though its great for bulking...

I need to find a closer job. Ill probably look into some medication pretty soon , doctor visits are expensive and my health insurance doesnt kick in for probably 2 more months are the medications all prescribed?

You should try some natural herb shit in the meantime until you can get to a doctor. All the medications are prescribed and highly controlled to say the least..

One natural remedy that comes to mind is St. John Wort - no clue how well they work but they have tons of studies that show some people react well to it.

I cant say I have "depression" but I go through those spells where my mood sucks, everything stresses me out. I'll take 200mg of DHEA per day and it makes a huge difference. Its cheap and with in a couple days I felt 10X better. Good luck man, its tough being in a rut. Keep your chin up and work through it. If the Dhea doest work try punching a baby or kicking a puppy. That usually helps me ;-)

I dealt with severe clinical depression for 18 years b/c of the whole stigma behind anti depresants. It finally overwhelmed me when I got hit with one too many things. I can't explain how bad it was. I take 20mg of Celexa a day. It costs me $4 a month, its a Target $4 generic so you don't even need insurance!! I've never felt this good and stable. I wish I would've taken care of it 18 years ago. Figure something out and get to a Dr bro.. I can't describe how awesome it is to not have those feelings.
