Motorcycles and black clothes

Is there a fuckin a rule that says you have to wear all black when you have a bike. Its hot as hell in the south right now and I see people wearing black leather chaps. Plus if have a bike and wear all black it doesnt make you a badass either.

well cruising at 70mph, even in warm weather, can get nippy on a motorcycle.

i was never much for the leather getup. but some of it is functional (protects better if you crash), and some is just show.

ya it can get a little chilly on the bike even in warm weather... i cant wear shorts on a bike because they ride up my legs and look retarded.

I grew up riding bikes. I went riding with a guy at work who just got his Harley. He looked like the advertisment for Harley Davidson
apparel!! LOL From the leather chaps to the "do-rag" under the helmet and fingerless gloves. I pull up wearing tennis shoes and
a hood and he starts jumping up and down screaming "you cant wear tennis shoes on a motorcycle. I couldn't stop laughing.
Oh yeah, last time I road w/him. Lot of posers out here (Calif.)
One more. Guy at the gym always comes in wearing biker apparel. I asked him what kind of bike he had
and he said he didn't, just like the clothes. Now that's a tool. (no offense to any tools out there - lol)

I'm a sport bike guy, and about the getting chilly riding, I've never had an issue with chilly riding unless you're talking Dec-Feb at night. (I love Florida! ) Even then, it's been 45 outside, and we rip across the bridges at 170-180mph and it's not too bad. I used to ride in shorts, tshirts, tennis shoes, and my helmet and gloves. After going down at 60mph (thankfully having all my gear on) I don't ever ride without pants, leather shoes/boots, jacket, gloves and helmet. It didn't hurt when i went down, so now I know that if I have my gear on, I'll be ok. Now I have like OCD about it. lol
