This is B.S.

I've been trying to get on with this company since april. Took their test and did their interview and heard nothing from them. Well my in-laws have alot of political pull so their office made some calls to my governors office and then the govs office called the company before July 4th. The company didnt get back to them until last week. Some how some way they lost my information right after my interview and it mysteriously show back up last week. So now my names on top of the list when they start hiring in Sept. Which is bullshit, I should have started working back in May. I guess it got their attenion when the governors office calls them about a regular guy. It still pisses me off though. Bastards.

its tough out there. Hope something comes through soon.

yeah that would definatly piss me off as well, i guess the type of job is a secret? state police maybe?

No kidding...its tough as nails out there right now...Im glad I BARELY have something to do that pays me something...

My wife is going through this right now. She got cut from her job after 12.5 years, all for the sake of "saving money"... eliminate the highest paid, even though she does the most work, and is support for the #1 and #2 bankers in the region. So another bank has been trying to pull her over to them for 2 years. So she calls and said, you're in luck, I'm free. So they take her to a 3 hour lunch, tell her where she's going to be working, what she's going to be doing, who her two assistants are going to be, and how much she will be making. Then they throw out there that they just have to wait for the HR dept to 'release the funds for the slot'. Needless to say, HR isn't cutting loose with the money, so after they got my wives (and mine) hopes up, they just called and said, "Well, that spot isn't going to work out, but we have something else for you". (Making $30-$35k LESS than the original position). Now she is playing the waiting game with them again, but at least now she's still actively pursuing other avenues of work.

Wow, I remember when you first went on that interview man... that blows! It makes me feel fortunate that I have something secure. I should be thanking my lucky stars more than I do already.

LH - Damn, that really sucks about your wife too. WTF! Wine and dine and then don't come through on sealing the deal. Sounds like a bad date!!
