According to a home shopping channel 'guru' promoting the Atkins plan -
1.) It's not your fault you're fat.
2.) If you're fat, and you eat the same amount and type of food a thin person eats - you as a fat person will just get fatter.
3.) A fat person's bio-chemical makeup is absolutely different from other body types.
4.) Eat anything you want - all day long without consequences. Of course, you can't want carbs.
5.) Your body uses 'glycosose' for energy. Repeated many times.
6.) Most all statements were ended with "In my opinion" - hopefully protecting the shopping network from 'frivolous' lawsuits.
While I firmly believe that low/no carb diets have their place - I don't think anyone can argue that it just cannot be a healthy long-term solution to body management. Lesser factors aside, it's always calories in vs. calories out.
Just thought I'd share.
