I got a bad habit guys I need help or advice breaking, smoking. It's not bad but it's still something I need to stop. Any advice helps.

I switched over to city boy chew-skoal bandits... a buddy of mine switched over to them and then went to mint leaves

he's been tobacco free for about 3 years now-went from a pack a day and a can of Copenhageen (sp?) to nic. free in less than a year...

Thought about that but read too many bad things about it.
Chantix is WAY bad....stay away..

I smoked from 16-17yrs old until 4yrs ago @ 31yrs old. I did the patches and that shit works!....

Just like the gym you have to be committed and set a date to quit and wear your patches. It takes about a week of pretty good resistance on your part to quit but after the first week its down hill from there. After the first week you will notice a change in yourself (at least I did) where you cant stand to be around smoking, it stinks like youve never noticed before. You'll notice overall that things smell better to you...seriously.. by the time you on the 3rd leg of the patches smoking is in the past...

The first leg of the patches is like 14mg of nicotine, I did this phase for 2 weeks, second leg is 10mg and i was on this leg for 4-5 weeks, last phase is either 4 or 5 mg and I did it for 2 weeks...done smoke free ever since...

Good Luck..the patches work!

I would have to agree with tatzoo..
I was a pack a day smoker for 10+ years up until Jan this year and stopped with the help
Of patches... I noticed after week 3 it became easier. You will notice a dramatic change In Yourself.. I did.. You get out of bed with a spring I ln your step. Walking/running is so much better. I really don't know why I didn't quit sooner.

The one thing I must say is... The only way you will quit is if you really want to quit. The "I'll only have a puff here n there" trick will not work. It's all or nothing.

Good luck bro

thats the truth about any addiction....... period.

I never smoked (butts), so i don't have much to offer ya bro, but i know it will suck at first, but 3 months from now, you'll be soooooooo damn glad you did

dip them is gas, so when you go the light one up. I promise you wont be puffing on it long at all. lol! Just kidding. I hope you can kick the habit, I saw in the store the other day, cartons are up to 60-70+ dollars. Can save some money there if you quit.

I smoked until I began my using gear. For me, that was my source of motivation. I couldn't justify building myself up with one hand and tearing myself down with the other.

Thought about that but read too many bad things about it.

I think that was part of his motivation to quit. The sides of the drug. He had a script for something like 30 days and he stopped after 6 days and had no more urges to smoke.
