CINCINNATI (AP)—A message on Terrell Owens’(notes) Twitter feed violates the NFL’s rules against using social media before games.

A post on his Twitter account noted that a fan wearing his jersey at the Bengals’ game against Tampa Bay on Sunday would get a football signed by him and Chad Ochocinco(notes). The message was posted an hour before kickoff, violating the NFL’s social media policy that prohibits posts 90 minutes before a game.

Owens was on the field shortly after the message was posted. Even if someone posted it on his behalf, it would violate the league’s rules.

Ochocinco was fined $25,000 by the league for tweeting before and during a preseason game against Philadelphia in August. He was the first player fined for violating the year-old policy.

thats fucking stupid ass rule! The League is becoming way way to over-bearing with all their stupid rules, Now you cant go to a knee after you make a sack without getting a flag. For example Jared Allen after he makes a sack goes to one knee and does his little sack celebration, so now he gets flagged for that shit, but if he does the same thing with his hands and doesnt go to a knee its fine? fucking retarded, the league is turning into bullshit

damn thats insane... but then again when you get paid as much as these guys , how hard could it but to follow a few simple rules

maybe they should take their cell phones away lol
