Jean-Claude Van Damme Suffers Heart Attack on Set

'80s icon Jean-Claude Van Damme reportedly suffered a heart attack on the set of his latest movie, 'Weapon,' TwitchFilm.net is reporting. Reports of the heart attack, which has been described as minor, come just one day after his 50th birthday.

When contacted by MTV News for a status on his recovery, his reps gave a quick response: "He is okay."

'Weapon' had been shooting in Romania until last week when production was scheduled to move to New Orleans for three days of filming. Soon after arriving, complications arose and filming was put on hold. It's since been revealed that the complication was Van Damme's heart attack.

The action star was admitted to a New Orleans hospital where his wife, Gladys Portugues, joined him. Once released, the couple flew back to his home country of Belgium where he is expected to make a full recovery.

agreed, rumor has it, it was from his drug usage in the past.

It's funny though, this guy was like my idol growing up. I 've watched Kick Boxer more times than anyone could ever imagine. Blood Sport too. The fucker just did a lot of AAS and coke back in the day and shit's catching up with him. He's also an alcoholic and if I'm not mistaken, he's been to rehab a couple times.

I have to admit though, I have like five of his movies on my dvd rack lol
