2010/11 Lakers = 97 bulls

I think this team may just hit 70 games this year, perhaps even topping the all time record held by the 97 bulls. Lakers are smashing people with little to no effort and even when they play like dirt they're beating folks. They don't even have Bynum!

Granted they have only played 10% of their games, I think I'm willing to put my non-exestent reputation on the line and predict the coming of the next 70 game NBA team: Lakers!

Wow, that's bold NAIR! 70 wins takes a freakin' great team. But, with the power shift to the East, their schedule might help them out this season.

Fuckers lost tonight....really pisses me off. The Bulls went 12 games before they lost their first :(

8 losses through the first third of the season, Nair. Doesn't look good for the Lakers to catch the Bulls, but 3 other teams have 5 or fewer losses. Think any of them have a chance at 70?

lol I knew it was just a matter of time before I heard back form this.

Not quite sure what's going on with the guys, it's hard to explain. I'd like to say they only turn it on when they need to--which they do--but it appears like they are a little bit weaker than their form from last year. Kobe looks older, slower, hurt.

Their bench looks good though. I think once Bynum gets back into the groove and they get a good rhythm going they'll be fine once again. I just can't see them not making it to the finals.

Also, the rest of the league has improved this year. The Lakers are playing a MUCH stronger schedule than last year. Boston, Miami, Orlando, Dallas, Chicago, OKC, New Orleans, are all powerhouses. This could be the best NBA playoffs since the Jordon area.

So do I think they're the best since the 97 Bulls? Probably not. Kobe is an incredible talent but let's face it - He's not Jordan. And Bynum is always a layup away from an injury.

I do however believe they'll turn up the heat after the all star break. About this time is when I expect San Antonio to cool down. And how about them spurs? 25/3? Holy shit!

Yeah, the Spurs. Wow! But, I think you are right...we won't know how good the Lakers still are until the playoffs. That's when they'll show us what they got.

LOL! You guys manhandled us the other night! WTF!

they'll be even better when they get rid of michael redd and get a dominant rebounder.......also they're inconsistent and brandon jennings i believe has a broken toe he's playing with now
