I resigned and they can only speak of my hire date and the day I resigned. My record was good so I'm in decent shape.

Insurance part not to worried about. I'll be ok with refills and 2 months with no medical ins.

Unions take your dues and don't do shit to help you out.

Big Dog......They suck when it comes down to it they are weak. I was paying 700 a year or some shit and They aren't fighting for me. I wouldn't go back anyways, to the same dept. at least. I had 3 girl managers that never communicated with each other. So aggravating man. The Hotel could give a rats ass about us, all they want is to make sure the guests are happy.

Well if the workers are getting fucked, how am I supposed to be walking around smiling? My buddy got written up for not smiling enough. It's an act we have to play and we can not be ourselves. Who the fuck walks around smiling from ear to ear all day along unless their high or out of it on anti depressants.

im a Teamster and we're having contract troubles and could be out of work in february. I have 15 years seniority and make a decent salary with great medical benefits, but the problem with unions is no individual achievement. You get your raise when the 1500 other guys get their raise, and everything goes by seniority. You can work 20X harder than the next guy, but since you have 15 years and he has 15 years 1 month, he gets the nod

Oh ya that was a big issue i had also. I hustle and these fat lazy fucks walk. I am doing 3 times as much work as them, but we all split the tips at the end of the night. BULLSHIT!!

It should be every man for himself. I hated these lazy bastards them making the same as me and didn't do shit all night. Also, managers can not get involved when it comes to tipping. So they got away with it.

And could you believe that the Saturday I resigned none of my managers called and asked what's going on, did you really mean it, are you ok, stuff I would do if I was a Manager. I would be concerned about my employee and see what was going on. Not even a fucking phone call. I may of been joking, or meant for the day, or who knows. Nobody from a 4 star resort even picked up the phone to see what was going on.

This Guy that has been there 4 months were getting better shifts than me and i have been there 3.5 years. I have 3 above me and 10 or 12 below me seniority wise. guy number 6 is getting the best shift possible and I am getting fucking night shifts. Discrimination and favortism because I don't kiss their ass and I am not gay. The whole fucking hotel were queers.

which is no big deal these days I know some gay guys, but these were flamers. They were intimidated because I was jacked an I'm an alpha male and all the valets were soft gay guys.

why am I not surprised.......My Union Rep said everything she recommended to my job to help me they declined. So I called her and got a voice mail. I want to know what she did exactly do in my defense. I look forward to hearing this.

Our union is with Teamsters and they fight like hell for us. We can basically get away with almost anything. I love it, but I guess it all comes down to what your Union Rep is like too

Unions are bad for business. I wish they'd go away.

Teachers unions are especially shit.

Anytime I see a big special interests like police, fire, and teachers unions endorse a canidate, I know who NOT to vote for

I tried to get it back but they didn't want me so technically I was fired/terminated/ or laid off. We had 3 chances at what ever we broke the rules in, I only got one.
