Brett had to know this day was coming and it's his own fault. Following last season was the perfect chance to go out on top, but his ego just wouldn't let him go out on an interception that cost his team a trip to the Super Bowl. Well, all your seasons end on an interception, Brett! Except this one...it ends on the bench.
He also is a huge reason why they made it as far as they did. Prior to him coming to minnesota,they had nothing at qb,and it still shows,since he's hurt now.
I realize why a lot of people dislike him. The media is going to feed us whatever gets them the most views/reads/clicks. He obviously spoon feeds them with fuel,and the same stories become beyond redundant.
It's a shame his brand has been tarnished by his last few years,but he definitely done it to himself.

Exactly. He had such a great season last year. He could have really gone out on a high note, but he got greedy.
And the media is also to blame. They are the ones who bombard us with all this nonsense of will he play/will he retire until you just get so sick of hearing about it.
